1. Introduction

The ASHATA V8 Satellite Signal Finder is a portable device designed to assist in the installation and alignment of satellite dishes. 4.1. Ports and Connections

  • LNB IN: Connects to the LNB of the satellite dish.
  • DV OUT: Digital Video output.

5. Setup

5.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided power adapter. The 4000 mAh lithium battery provides over 4 hours of operation on a full charge.

5.2. Connecting to Satellite Dish

  1. Connect the coaxial cable from your satellite dish's LNB to the LNB IN port on the ASHATA V8 Satellite Signal Finder.
  2. If connecting to a TV, use an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port or an AV cable from the AV OUT port to your television.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button to turn the device on or off. The LCD screen will display the main menu upon startup.

6.2. Menu Navigation

Use the arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through the menu options. Press the OK button to select an option or confirm a setting. Use the EXIT button to return to the previous menu or exit a function.

6.3. Satellite Installation

  1. From the main menu, select Satellite Setup.
  2. Choose the desired satellite from the list. You can add, edit, or delete satellites.
  3. Adjust LNB Frequency, DiSEqC settings, and 22KHz/13V/18V power as needed.
  4. The screen will display signal intensity and quality. Adjust your satellite dish until these values are maximized.
  5. Perform an automatic or manual channel scan to find available channels.

6.4. Channel Management

The device supports up to 6000 TV and radio channels. You can manage channels using various editing functions:

  • Bookmark: Mark favorite channels.
  • Move: Rearrange channel order.
  • Lock: Password-protect channels.
  • Skip: Hide unwanted channels from the list.
  • Delete: Remove channels.
  • Rename: Change channel names.
  • Search: Find specific channels.
  • Sort: Organize channels by various criteria.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use.

8. Troubleshooting
