5. Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker. It is recommended to have two people for installation.
Tools Required (Not Included):
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- Wire strippers
- Pliers
- Electrical tape
- Safety glasses
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Mounting Strap: Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Adjust Chain Length: Determine the desired hanging height. The fixture includes 42 inches of chain. Use pliers to open and remove excess chain links if necessary. Thread the electrical wire through the chain links.
- Connect Wiring: Carefully connect the fixture's electrical wires to the house wiring. Match black to black (live), white to white (neutral), and bare copper or green to bare copper or green (ground). Secure connections with wire connectors and electrical tape.
- Secure Canopy: Raise the canopy to the ceiling, covering the outlet box. Secure it to the mounting strap using the screw collar.
- Assemble Fixture Body: Attach the pipe (D) to the fixture body (E).
- Install Shade and Candle Covers: Place the drum shade (B) onto the fixture. Install the five candle covers (C) over the bulb sockets.
- Install Bulbs: Screw in five E12 candelabra base bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not exceed 60 watts per bulb.

6. Operating Instructions
Once installed, restore power at the circuit breaker. The chandelier is operated via your wall switch.
Bulb Requirements:
- This fixture requires five (5) E12 (candelabra base) bulbs.
- Maximum wattage per bulb is 60 watts.
- LED equivalent bulbs can be used for energy efficiency.
Dimmable Feature:
This chandelier is dimmable when paired with a compatible wall dimmer switch and dimmable E12 bulbs. Ensure both the dimmer and bulbs are rated for dimming functionality.

7. Maintenance
Cleaning:
- Always turn off power to the fixture and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the metal parts with a soft, dry cloth.
- For the linen shade, use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners on the shade.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
Bulb Replacement:
- Ensure power is off at the circuit breaker.
- Allow old bulbs to cool completely before touching.
- Carefully unscrew the old bulb and screw in a new E12 candelabra base bulb.
- Do not exceed the maximum wattage of 60 watts per bulb.
