4. Setup and Installation
The ORNO AE-1303/B power strip is designed for surface mounting, typically in corners or under cabinets, thanks to its 45° angled housing. Follow these steps for proper installation:
4.1. Before Installation
- Ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning any electrical work.
- Verify that the chosen installation location is dry and free from obstructions.
- Confirm that the length of the integrated 0.6m power cable is sufficient for your intended connection point. If not, a suitable extension or junction box may be required (not included).
4.2. Mounting the Power Strip
- Identify the desired mounting location. The 45° design is ideal for corner installations or flush mounting under shelves/cabinets.
- Mark the positions for the mounting screws on the surface. Refer to the dimensions diagram below for precise measurements.
- Drill pilot holes if necessary, suitable for your mounting screws (screws not typically included).
- Secure the power strip to the surface using appropriate screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and stable.

4.3. Electrical Connection
The power strip comes with a 0.6m cable with exposed wires (Live, Neutral, Earth). This cable must be connected to a suitable power source by a qualified electrician or competent person, following local electrical codes and regulations.
- Connect the Live wire (usually brown or red) to the Live terminal of your power source.
- Connect the Neutral wire (usually blue or black) to the Neutral terminal of your power source.
- Connect the Earth wire (usually green/yellow) to the Earth terminal of your power source.
- Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

5. Operating Instructions

To disconnect an appliance, simply pull the plug firmly from the socket. Always grasp the plug, not the cable.
