4. Setup and Installation

The ORNO AE-1303/B power strip is designed for surface mounting, typically in corners or under cabinets, thanks to its 45° angled housing. Follow these steps for proper installation:

4.1. Before Installation

  • Ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning any electrical work.
  • Verify that the chosen installation location is dry and free from obstructions.
  • Confirm that the length of the integrated 0.6m power cable is sufficient for your intended connection point. If not, a suitable extension or junction box may be required (not included).

4.2. Mounting the Power Strip

  1. Identify the desired mounting location. The 45° design is ideal for corner installations or flush mounting under shelves/cabinets.
  2. Mark the positions for the mounting screws on the surface. Refer to the dimensions diagram below for precise measurements.
  3. Drill pilot holes if necessary, suitable for your mounting screws (screws not typically included).
  4. Secure the power strip to the surface using appropriate screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and stable.

4.3. Electrical Connection

The power strip comes with a 0.6m cable with exposed wires (Live, Neutral, Earth). This cable must be connected to a suitable power source by a qualified electrician or competent person, following local electrical codes and regulations.

  • Connect the Live wire (usually brown or red) to the Live terminal of your power source.
  • Connect the Neutral wire (usually blue or black) to the Neutral terminal of your power source.
  • Connect the Earth wire (usually green/yellow) to the Earth terminal of your power source.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

5. Operating Instructions
