2. Product Overview

The Voyager WVOM43 is a compact wireless observation monitor designed for use with Voyager Wireless Cameras. It features a bright 4.3-inch display and supports connectivity with multiple cameras, making it suitable for various vehicle observation needs.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present and undamaged.

3.2 Mounting the Monitor

  1. Choose a suitable location in your vehicle that provides a clear view of the monitor without obstructing your driving view.
  2. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion of the suction cup mount.
  3. Attach the suction cup mount to the desired location and secure it firmly.
  4. Connect the monitor to the mount, ensuring it is securely fastened and can be adjusted to your preferred viewing angle.

3.3 Power Connection

  1. Insert the 12V DC plug into your vehicle's accessory power outlet.
  2. Connect the other end of the power cable to the monitor's power input port.
  3. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.4 Camera Pairing (Wireless Cameras)

The WVOM43 monitor features an auto-pairing capability. To pair with a compatible Voyager wireless camera (e.g., WVCMS130AP):

  1. Ensure both the monitor and the wireless camera are powered on.
  2. Press the auto-pairing button on the monitor (refer to the monitor's physical controls for exact button location).
  3. The monitor will search for available wireless cameras and automatically pair with them.
  4. Repeat the process if you are connecting multiple wireless cameras (up to four).

3.5 Wired Camera Connection

If connecting a wired Voyager camera, use the appropriate video input port on the monitor and ensure the camera is properly powered according to its own instructions.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

Press the power button on the monitor to turn it on or off. The monitor will typically power on automatically when the vehicle's accessory power is activated.

4.2 Switching Camera Views

If multiple cameras are connected, use the designated camera selection buttons on the monitor to cycle through the available camera views. The monitor supports single-screen display.

4.3 Graphic Overlay

When backing up, the monitor displays a graphic overlay that indicates real-time distance from objects. Use this visual aid for enhanced awareness during maneuvering.

4.4 Audio Output

The built-in speaker provides audio feedback from connected cameras, if available. Adjust the volume using the monitor's control buttons.

4.5 Display Settings

The monitor may include buttons or menu options to adjust display settings such as brightness, contrast, and color. Refer to the on-screen menu for detailed adjustments.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Monitor

5.2 Storage

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 No Power

  • Check that the 12V DC plug is securely inserted into the vehicle's power outlet and the monitor.
  • Verify that the vehicle's power outlet is functional.
  • Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on, as some outlets are only powered when the vehicle is running.

6.2 No Camera Signal

  • Confirm that the camera(s) are powered on and functioning correctly.
  • For wireless cameras, ensure they are properly paired with the monitor. Repeat the auto-pairing process if necessary.
  • Check for any obstructions between the wireless camera and the monitor that might interfere with the signal.
  • Ensure the camera input selection on the monitor matches the active camera.

6.3 Distorted Image or Audio

  • Check for potential sources of electromagnetic interference near the monitor or camera.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and free from damage.
  • Adjust display settings (brightness, contrast) if the image quality is poor.
