3. Setup

  1. Unpack the Set: Carefully open the resin case and remove all components.
  2. Familiarize Yourself: Identify each tool using the Package Contents section and Image 2.1. Note the 2-color urethane tray, which helps keep tools organized and indicates if any are missing.
  3. Select the Right Tool: Choose the appropriate socket or bit for your fastener.
  4. Attach to Ratchet/Extension:
    • For sockets, simply push the socket onto the square drive of the ratchet handle or extension bar until it clicks securely into place.
    • For bits, insert the chosen bit into the bit adapter, then attach the bit adapter to the square drive of the ratchet handle or extension bar.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Using the Ratchet Handle

  1. Attach Socket/Bit: As described in the Setup section, attach the required socket or bit to the ratchet handle.
  2. Select Direction: Use the directional switch on the ratchet head to select clockwise (for tightening) or counter-clockwise (for loosening) rotation.
  3. Operate: Place the socket/bit onto the fastener. Turn the handle slowly and steadily. The ratchet mechanism allows you to turn the fastener without repositioning the handle after each stroke.

4.2. Converting to T-Type Wrench

The extension bar can be used to create a T-type wrench configuration, providing increased leverage and torque.

  1. Attach Extension: Insert the square drive end of the extension bar into the square drive opening of the ratchet handle.
  2. Attach Socket/Bit: Attach the desired socket or bit to the other end of the extension bar.
  3. Use as T-Handle: Hold the ratchet handle perpendicular to the extension bar to form a 'T' shape. This configuration is ideal for applying higher torque or for reaching fasteners in awkward positions.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, wipe down tools with a clean, dry cloth to remove dirt, grease, and debris. For stubborn grime, a mild solvent or degreaser can be used, followed by thorough drying.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a light coat of machine oil to the moving parts of the ratchet mechanism to ensure smooth operation and prevent corrosion.
  • Storage: Always return tools to their designated slots in the 2-color urethane tray within the resin case. This prevents loss, protects the tools from damage, and keeps them organized for future use. Store the case in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect all components for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. Replace any damaged tools immediately to ensure safety and optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting

Most issues with hand tools can be resolved by ensuring proper usage and maintenance.

  • Fastener Slipping: Ensure you are using the correct size socket or bit for the fastener. A loose fit can cause stripping.
  • Ratchet Not Engaging: Check the directional switch on the ratchet head. Ensure it is fully engaged in either the tightening or loosening position. If the mechanism feels stiff, apply a small amount of lubricant.
  • Difficulty Attaching/Detaching: Ensure the square drive or bit adapter is clean and free of debris. Apply slight pressure and twist gently if needed. Do not force components.
  • Tool Damage: If a tool appears bent, cracked, or otherwise damaged, discontinue use immediately and replace it. Using damaged tools can lead to injury or further damage to fasteners.
