5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your cimetech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Response from Keyboard/Mouse:
    • Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
    • Verify the USB nano receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. Try a different USB port.
    • Move the keyboard and mouse closer to the USB receiver to rule out range issues (maximum range is 10 meters or 33 feet).
    • Restart your computer.
  • Lagging or Intermittent Connection:
    • Ensure there are no large metal objects or other wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones) operating too close to the receiver, which could cause interference.
    • Try plugging the USB receiver into a different USB port, preferably one on the front of your computer if using a desktop.
  • Mouse Cursor Difficult to Control:
    • Ensure the mouse is used on a clean, non-reflective surface. Mouse pads are recommended.
    • Check for any debris or dust obstructing the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse.
  • Keyboard Keys Not Responding:
    • Check for low battery.
    • Ensure no foreign objects are lodged under the keys.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your device:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the keyboard and mouse. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but ensure no liquid enters the device. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when performance degrades or indicator lights signal low power. Always use new, good-quality AA batteries.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the combo in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
