5.1 Charging the Battery

1. Insert the battery pack into the charger. Ensure it clicks into place.
2. Plug the charger into a suitable power outlet.
3. The charging indicator on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 60 minutes with the quick charger.
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the power outlet and remove the battery.

5.2 Installing/Removing Planer Knives

WARNING: Always disconnect the battery pack before performing any adjustments or maintenance, especially when handling planer knives. Planer knives are extremely sharp.

1. Place the planer on a stable surface with the base plate facing upwards.
2. Use the provided hex key to loosen the screws securing the planer knives.
3. Carefully remove the old knives. Use protective gloves.
4. Insert the new HSS reversible planer knives, ensuring they are correctly seated and aligned.
5. Tighten the screws firmly with the hex key.
6. Ensure both knives are installed correctly and securely before operating the tool.

6.1 Switching On/Off

• To switch on: Press and hold the safety lock button, then press the ON/OFF trigger switch.
• To switch off: Release the ON/OFF trigger switch.

6.2 Adjusting Planing Depth

The planing depth can be adjusted between 0 and 2 mm using the front adjustment knob. Rotate the knob to select the desired depth. Start with a shallow depth and increase gradually if needed.

6.3 Chip Ejection

The planer allows for chip ejection to either the left or right side. Use the selector switch to choose the desired direction. For a cleaner work environment, connect an external dust extraction system using the provided adapter.

1. Ensure the workpiece is stable and secured.
2. Set the desired planing depth.
3. Place the front shoe of the planer flat on the workpiece.
4. Switch on the planer and allow it to reach full speed before moving it forward.
5. Apply even pressure and move the planer smoothly across the workpiece.
6. For chamfering edges, utilize the central V-groove on the front shoe.
