Introduction
This instruction manual provides detailed guidance for the assembly, use, and maintenance of your Glideaway Premium Heavy Duty Bed Frame. Designed for durability and strength, this frame offers robust support for various mattress types, including waterbeds, and is suitable for individuals requiring enhanced support.
Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.
- Always follow assembly instructions carefully to prevent instability.
- Do not exceed the maximum weight limit. This frame is designed for heavy weights, including waterbeds and plus-size sleepers, but extreme loads should be avoided.
- Be cautious of sharp edges during assembly and handling of components.
- Ensure all bolts and connections are securely tightened before use. Periodically check and re-tighten as needed.
- Keep small parts away from children during assembly.
Included Components
Please verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:
- Side Rails (2)
- Cross Rails (3)
- Feet / Legs (6) with Wide Glide Foot
- Nuts and Bolts
- Headboard Mounting Brackets (2)
Tools required for assembly: Screwdriver and Pliers.
Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps for quick and easy assembly:
Step 1: Lay out Components
Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, flat surface. Identify the two side rails, three cross rails, and six legs.

Step 2: Attach Legs to Side Rails
Attach the six legs to the side rails. The T-shaped leg interlocks on top and bottom side rail for maximum strength. Ensure the wide glide foot is facing downwards.

Step 3: Connect Cross Rails
Connect the three cross rails between the two side rails. These provide crucial center support. Secure them firmly using the provided nuts and bolts. The frame features 1½ X 1½ Angle Iron steel for side rails and cross arms for enhanced durability.

Step 4: Attach Headboard Mounting Brackets (Optional)
If you plan to use a bolt-on style headboard, attach the headboard mounting brackets to the designated points on the frame. Secure them with the appropriate hardware.

Step 5: Final Check
Once assembled, ensure all connections are tight and the frame is stable. The spin glide feet with a steel shaft and plastic glide allow for easy movement on carpet.
Operating and Usage
This bed frame is designed to be used as a standalone support for your box spring and mattress set. It is suitable for various mattress types, including heavy memory foam mattresses and waterbeds. The robust construction provides exceptional stability and support.
- Place your box spring directly on the assembled bed frame.
- Position your mattress on top of the box spring.
- The wide glide feet are designed to distribute weight evenly and allow for easy repositioning on carpeted surfaces.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and continued performance of your bed frame:
- Periodically inspect all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary.
- Clean the frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent if needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the area around the legs is clear to prevent obstruction of the glide feet.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Frame feels unstable or wobbly. | Loose bolts or improper assembly. | Check all nuts and bolts and tighten them securely. Review assembly steps to ensure correct installation of all components. |
| Squeaking noises. | Loose connections or friction between metal parts. | Tighten all bolts. If squeaking persists, apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to connection points. |
| Difficulty moving the frame on carpet. | Obstruction under legs or excessive weight. | Ensure no debris is caught under the glide feet. For very heavy loads, it may require more effort to move. |
