2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage:

• Do not allow children to operate the hose reel unsupervised. The retraction mechanism is powerful.
• Ensure the wall mounting is secure and can support the weight of the hose reel, especially when filled with water.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Wall Mounting

1. Choose a suitable location on a sturdy wall, ensuring it can support the weight of the unit and allow for the 180-degree swivel.
2. Use the wall mount bracket as a template to mark the drilling points.
3. Drill four holes at the marked positions. Insert the provided dowels into the holes.
4. Secure the wall mount bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
5. Slide the hose reel unit onto the wall mount bracket until it clicks securely into place.

4.2 Connecting to Water Supply

1. Connect the 2m connection hose to the water inlet on the side of the hose reel unit.
2. Attach the other end of the connection hose to your garden tap using the appropriate hose connector (compatible with 1/2'' and standard systems).
3. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Unwinding the Hose

To unwind the hose, simply pull it out to the desired length. The hose will automatically lock into place at intervals. You will hear a clicking sound as it locks. To unlock and pull further, give a slight tug.

5.2 Automatic Retraction

To retract the hose, give it a short, sharp tug. The locking mechanism will release, and the hose will automatically rewind into the casing. Guide the hose as it retracts to prevent kinks or tangles.

5.3 180-Degree Swivel Function

The hose reel can pivot up to 180 degrees on its wall mount. This allows you to easily direct the hose in various directions without kinking, providing flexibility for watering different areas of your garden. After use, you can swivel the unit flat against the wall for space-saving storage.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the hose reel with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Frost Protection: For frost-free storage, the hose reel can be easily removed from its wall mount. Disconnect the water supply, drain any remaining water from the hose, and store the unit indoors in a dry, frost-free environment during winter.
• UV Protection: The casing is designed to protect the hose from UV exposure, extending its lifespan.
• Hose Inspection: Periodically inspect the hose for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Replace if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

• Hose not retracting: Ensure the hose is not kinked or tangled. Give a firm, short tug to release the locking mechanism. If the issue persists, check for any obstructions in the retraction path.
• Water leaks: Check all connections (tap, connection hose, spray nozzle) for tightness. Ensure rubber seals are properly seated and not damaged.
• Low water pressure: Verify that your water tap is fully open and there are no kinks in the supply hose or the integrated hose.
