1. Safety Information
Always observe basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury when using power tools.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Workpiece Security: Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped or held to prevent movement during cutting.
- Flammable Materials: Do not operate the saw near flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Battery Safety: Use only genuine KIMO batteries and chargers designed for this tool. Using incompatible batteries may cause damage or injury.
- Double Lock Mechanism: The saw is equipped with a double lock safety button to prevent accidental starts. The trigger switch will not operate unless the safety lock button is pressed first.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off and Variable Speed
- To start the saw, first press the safety lock button (located above the trigger), then pull the trigger switch.
- The trigger switch provides variable speed control. Pressing the trigger further increases the stroke speed, allowing for precise control over different materials.
- To stop the saw, simply release the trigger switch.

4.2. Cutting Different Materials
Always select the appropriate blade for the material you are cutting to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Wood Cutting: Use the included wood-specific blades (SK5). The saw can cut wood up to 10cm thick.
- Metal Cutting: Use the included metal-specific blades (BIMM42). It can cut soft iron pipes up to 10cm in diameter and soft iron material up to 3mm thick.
- PVC Pipe Cutting: Use metal-specific blades (BIMM42). It can cut PVC pipes up to 15cm in diameter.
- Multi-material Cutting: Use the included BIM multi-material blade for various other materials.

4.3. Cutting Technique
- Place the shoe plate firmly against the workpiece before starting the cut.
- Start the saw at a low speed to allow the blade to engage the material smoothly, then gradually increase speed.
- Maintain a firm grip on the tool with both hands (if possible) and allow the saw to do the work. Do not force the blade through the material.
- For optimal performance and to prolong blade life, avoid applying excessive pressure.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your KIMO Reciprocating Saw.
5.1. Cleaning
- Always disconnect the battery before cleaning.
- Regularly clean the tool's exterior and ventilation slots to prevent dust and debris buildup.
- Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the tool.
5.2. Blade Care
- Inspect blades before each use for signs of damage, dullness, or bending.
- Replace worn or damaged blades immediately to maintain cutting efficiency and safety.
- Store blades in a dry place to prevent rust.
5.3. Battery Care
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery fully and recharge it periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) to maintain battery health.
- Do not short-circuit battery terminals or dispose of batteries in fire.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your KIMO Reciprocating Saw, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Saw does not start | Battery not charged or improperly installed Safety lock not disengaged | Ensure battery is fully charged and securely inserted. Press the safety lock button before pulling the trigger. |
| Poor cutting performance | Dull or incorrect blade Blade improperly installed Excessive cutting pressure | Replace with a sharp, appropriate blade. Ensure blade is securely locked in place. Reduce pressure and let the saw work. |
| Excessive vibration | Loose blade or components Workpiece not secured | Check blade installation and tighten any loose parts. Securely clamp the workpiece. |
