• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.

Setup

Before First Use

1. Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
2. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water.
3. Wash the stainless steel grinding cup, transparent lid, coffee scoop, and cleaning brush with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
4. Ensure all parts are dry before assembly and use.

Assembly

1. Place the stainless steel grinding cup securely into the motor base.
2. Ensure the grinding cup is properly seated and locked into position.
3. The grinder is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Grinding Coffee Beans

1. Ensure the grinder is unplugged.
2. Add whole coffee beans to the grinding cup. Do not fill above the MAX line (approximately 1.4 oz / 40g).
3. Place the transparent lid securely onto the grinding cup. Ensure it is properly aligned and locked to activate the safety switch.
4. Plug the grinder into a standard electrical outlet.
5. Press and hold the power button to begin grinding. The grinding will stop when the button is released.
6. Monitor the grind consistency through the transparent lid. Refer to the 'Grind Settings' section for desired fineness.
7. Once the desired consistency is achieved, release the button and unplug the grinder.
8. Carefully remove the lid and pour out the ground coffee. Use the included scoop and brush to assist.

Grinding Spices and Herbs

The SHARDOR Electric Coffee Grinder is also suitable for grinding various dry spices and herbs. Follow the same operating instructions as for coffee beans.

• Ensure spices are dry and free from moisture.
• Avoid grinding oily spices or nuts, as this may affect performance and cleaning.
• Clean the grinding cup thoroughly after grinding spices to prevent flavor transfer to coffee.

Grind Settings

The fineness of the grind is determined by the duration of grinding. Pressing the power button for longer periods will result in a finer grind.

• Coarse Grind: Approximately 6 seconds of grinding. Suitable for French press.
• Medium Grind: Approximately 10 seconds of grinding. Suitable for drip coffee makers.
• Fine Grind: Approximately 15 seconds of grinding. Suitable for espresso machines.

You can stop grinding at any time to achieve your preferred consistency.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your grinder.

1. Always unplug the grinder before cleaning.
2. Remove the transparent lid and the grinding cup from the motor base.
3. Use the included cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds or spices from the grinding cup and blades.
4. Wash the grinding cup, lid, scoop, and brush with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
5. Wipe the exterior of the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
6. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the grinder.

Storage

Store the grinder in a cool, dry place when not in use. Its compact design allows for easy storage in cabinets or drawers.
