1. Introduction

The Chicco My First Nest is a versatile playmat designed to support your baby's comfortable sleep and developmental stages from birth up to approximately 3 years old. 2. Safety Information

• Adult Supervision Required: Always supervise your child when they are using the My First Nest. Never leave a child unattended.
• Placement: Place the product on a flat, stable, and safe surface, away from stairs, steps, or any elevated areas.
• Choking Hazard: Ensure all small parts, including batteries, are securely installed and out of reach of children.
• Battery Safety: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove batteries if the product is not used for an extended period. Dispose of used batteries properly.
• Weight Limit: The recommended maximum weight for use is 9 kg.
• Damage: Do not use the product if any part is damaged or broken. Contact customer support for replacement parts.

4.1 Battery Installation

4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

5. Operating Instructions

The My First Nest adapts to various developmental stages:

5.1 Nest Mode (0+ Months)

For newborns, the mat can be folded to create a cozy nest, providing a secure and comfortable space for temporary rest. The cushion can be positioned to support the baby's head and body.

5.2 Cushion Support Mode (Approx. 2+ Months)

As your baby grows, the cushion can be used to provide gentle support, allowing them to lean back comfortably while observing their surroundings.

5.3 Tummy Time Support (Approx. 4+ Months)

Place your baby on their tummy with the cushion positioned under their chest to encourage muscle development and strengthen their neck and shoulder muscles during tummy time.

5.5 Music and Light Functions

The electronic unit on the cushion features soothing classic music and gentle lights that project patterns and glow in sync with the sound. This helps to attract your child's interest and create a calming environment.

• Activation: Press the designated button on the electronic unit to turn on the music and lights.
• Music Selection: There are two different melodies available. Press the music selection button to switch between them.
• Duration: The music and light sequence plays for approximately 15 minutes before automatically turning off.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper care ensures the longevity and hygiene of your My First Nest.

• Textile Parts: The cushion and playmat are machine washable. Remove the electronic unit before washing. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Do not bleach. Air dry thoroughly.
• Electronic Unit: Wipe the electronic unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
• Storage: Store the product in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.

• No Sound/Light:
  • Check if batteries are installed correctly with the right polarity.
  • Replace old or depleted batteries with new ones.
  • Ensure the power button is pressed firmly.
• Product Appears Flat/Lacks Support:
  • Ensure the mat is properly unfolded and the cushion is positioned according to the desired mode.
  • If recently washed, ensure all parts are completely dry and fluffed.
