Product Overview

The VTech VM320 consists of two main components: the Baby Unit (camera) and the Parent Unit (monitor).

Baby Unit (Camera)

The Baby Unit captures video and audio from your baby's room. It features a camera lens, microphone, and infrared LEDs for night vision.

Parent Unit (Monitor)

The Parent Unit allows you to view and hear your baby. It has a 2.4-inch color LCD screen, control buttons, a speaker, and a microphone for two-way talk.

Setup

1. Charging the Parent Unit

  1. Connect the small plug of the parent unit power adapter to the parent unit.
  2. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status. For optimal performance, charge the parent unit for at least 12 hours before initial use.

2. Positioning the Baby Unit

  1. Place the baby unit in your baby's room, at least 3 feet away from the crib.
  2. Ensure the camera has a clear view of your baby.
  3. Connect the small plug of the baby unit power adapter to the baby unit.
  4. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a wall outlet.

3. Powering On/Off

  • To power on the Parent Unit: Press and hold the POWER button until the screen turns on.
  • To power off the Parent Unit: Press and hold the POWER button until the screen turns off.
  • To power on the Baby Unit: Plug it into a power outlet. It will automatically power on.
  • To power off the Baby Unit: Unplug it from the power outlet.

The units are pre-paired from the factory. If connection issues occur, refer to the troubleshooting section.

Operating the Monitor

Viewing Modes: Day and Night Vision

The monitor automatically switches between day (color) and night (infrared black and white) vision based on ambient light conditions. This ensures a clear view of your baby at all times.

Volume Control

Use the VOL ▲ and VOL ▼ buttons on the parent unit to adjust the listening volume.

Two-Way Talk

Press and hold the TALK button on the parent unit to speak to your baby through the baby unit's speaker. Release the button to hear your baby again.

Digital Zoom

Press the ZOOM button (magnifying glass icon) on the parent unit to zoom in or out on the video feed.

Temperature Monitoring

The parent unit displays the temperature detected by the baby unit's sensor, helping you ensure a comfortable environment for your baby.

Range

The monitor offers a range of up to 800 feet (243 meters) in open spaces. Actual range may vary depending on environmental factors and obstructions.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
No power on Parent Unit Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and plugged into a working outlet. Check battery charge.
No video/audio from Baby Unit Verify the Baby Unit is powered on and within range. Check for obstructions between units. Re-pair units if necessary (refer to full manual for pairing instructions).
Poor video quality Ensure the camera lens is clean. Adjust the position of the Baby Unit for better lighting.
