4. Setup

4.1 Placement

Place the Canton DM 76 Soundbar on a stable, flat surface, preferably directly below your television. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation. The soundbar is designed to support a television placed directly on top of it.

4.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the supplied power cord to the AC IN socket on the rear of the soundbar.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable wall outlet.
  3. The soundbar will enter standby mode.

4.3 Audio Connections

Connect your audio source (e.g., TV, Blu-ray player) to the soundbar using one of the following methods:

  • Optical Input: Use the optical digital audio cable to connect your source's optical output to the soundbar's OPTICAL IN port.
  • Coaxial Input: Use the coaxial audio cable to connect your source's coaxial output to the soundbar's COAXIAL IN port.
  • Analog Input: Use the analog stereo audio cable (RCA) to connect your source's analog audio output to the soundbar's ANALOG IN ports.

Note: Only one digital audio connection (optical or coaxial) is needed. If both are connected, the soundbar will prioritize one.

5. Operating Instructions

The Canton DM 76 Soundbar can be operated using the included remote control.

5.1 Remote Control Functions

  • ON/STANDBY (Red Button): Press to switch the soundbar ON or to standby mode.
  • MUTE: Mutes or unmutes the sound.
  • VOLUME (+/-): Adjusts the master volume level.
  • INPUT (Up/Down Arrows): Selects the audio input source (Optical, Coaxial, Analog, Bluetooth).
  • PLAY MODE: Cycles through sound modes (e.g., Music, Movie).
  • STEREO/SURROUND: Toggles between stereo and virtual surround sound modes.
  • SOUND: Accesses sound settings.
  • BASS/TREBLE (Up/Down Arrows): Adjusts bass and treble levels.
  • BLUETOOTH PAIRING: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing

To connect a Bluetooth device to your soundbar:

  1. Ensure the soundbar is powered ON.
  2. Press the BLUETOOTH PAIRING button on the remote control. The Bluetooth indicator on the soundbar will flash.
  3. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "Canton DM 76" from the list of devices.
  5. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator on the soundbar will glow steadily. You can now play audio from your device through the soundbar.

5.3 ECO Mode

The Canton DM 76 features an optional power-saving ECO mode. This mode can be toggled ON or OFF to reduce power consumption when the soundbar is not actively in use.
