4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

1. Power Connection: Connect the supplied power cable to the AC IN socket on the rear panel and then to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the voltage selector (if present) matches your local power supply.
2. Audio Input Connections:
   • Microphones: Connect up to four microphones to the XLR inputs (MIC 1-4) on the front panel.
   • Phono/Line Devices: Connect turntables to the PHONO inputs (CH1, CH2) and CD players, media players, or other line-level devices to the LINE inputs (CH1-CH5) on the rear panel using RCA cables. Use the PHONO/LINE switch on the front panel for channels 1 and 2 to select the input source.
3. Audio Output Connections:

5.1 Channel Control (CH1-CH5)

Each of the five channels features dedicated controls:

• GAIN: Adjusts the input sensitivity for the channel. Set it to achieve a strong signal without clipping (distortion).
• HIGH, MID, BASS: 3-band equalizer controls to adjust the treble, midrange, and bass frequencies of the channel.
• CUE: Press this button to send the channel's audio to the headphone output for pre-listening.
• Channel Fader: Controls the volume level of the channel in the main mix.
• PHONO/LINE Switch (CH1, CH2): Selects between Phono (turntable) and Line (CD player, etc.) input for the respective channel.

5.2 Microphone Channels (MIC 1-4)

The mixer provides four microphone inputs with individual controls:

• MIC GAIN: Adjusts the input level for the microphone.
• HIGH, BASS: 2-band equalizer for microphone tone adjustment.
• TALKOVER: Activates the talkover function, which automatically lowers the music volume when a microphone signal is detected. Use the ON/OFF switch to engage/disengage.

5.3 Integrated Media Player (USB/SD/Bluetooth)

The media player supports playback from USB drives, SD cards, and Bluetooth devices. It also includes a recording function.

1. Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to switch between USB, SD, and Bluetooth input sources.
2. Playback Controls: Use the PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS, and NEXT buttons to control media playback.
3. Repeat Function: Press the REPEAT button to cycle through repeat modes (e.g., repeat one, repeat all).
4. Bluetooth Pairing: Select Bluetooth mode. The device will become discoverable. Pair with your smartphone or other Bluetooth audio device.
5. Recording Function: Press the RECORD button to start recording your mix to the inserted USB drive or SD card. Press again to stop.

The crossfader allows for smooth transitions between two assigned channels (A and B).

• Channel Assign Switches: Use the switches above the crossfader to assign channels to side A or side B.
• Crossfader Operation: Move the crossfader left or right to blend between the assigned channels.

5.5 Master Output

The master section controls the overall output of your mix.

• MASTER Volume: Adjusts the main output volume.
• 5-Band Graphic Equalizer: Use the sliders to fine-tune the frequency response of the master output. Press the ON/OFF button to engage or bypass the equalizer.
