Setup

1. Charging the Headphones

Before first use, fully charge your DALI IO-6 headphones. A full charge provides approximately 30 hours of battery life with ANC enabled.

  1. Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the USB-C port on the headphones.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not supplied) or a powered USB port on a computer.
  3. The LED indicator on the headphones will show charging status. It typically takes about 2 hours for a full charge.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

Pair your DALI IO-6 headphones with your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.).

  1. Ensure the headphones are powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button on the headphones for approximately 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue and red, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  4. Select "DALI IO-6" from the list of available devices.
  5. Once paired, the LED indicator on the headphones will turn solid blue.

3. Wired Connection

For a wired connection, use the supplied 3.5mm audio cable.

  • Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the audio input jack on the headphones.
  • Connect the other end to the 3.5mm audio output jack on your device.
  • The headphones will automatically switch to wired mode.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds.
  • To power off: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.

Music Playback and Call Control

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency Mode

The DALI IO-6 features Active Noise Cancellation to reduce ambient noise and a Transparency Mode to allow external sounds to pass through.

  • To cycle through ANC modes (ANC On, Transparency Mode, ANC Off): Press the ANC button located on the earcup.
  • The LED indicator will change color to indicate the current ANC mode.

Maintenance and Care

Proper care will extend the life and performance of your DALI IO-6 headphones.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the headphones. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the headphones in their protective travel case to prevent damage.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the headphones to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or high humidity.
  • Liquid Exposure: Keep the headphones away from water and other liquids. They are not waterproof.
  • Ear Cushions: The ear cushions are designed for comfort and can be replaced if worn. Refer to DALI's official website for replacement parts.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DALI IO-6 headphones, try the following solutions:

No PowerEnsure the headphones are fully charged. Connect to a power source and check the charging indicator.
Cannot Pair via Bluetooth
  • Ensure headphones are in pairing mode (flashing blue/red LED).
  • Turn off and on Bluetooth on your device.
  • Forget "DALI IO-6" from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • Move headphones closer to the device.
No Sound
  • Check volume levels on both headphones and the connected device.
  • Ensure headphones are properly paired or the 3.5mm cable is securely connected.
  • Try restarting both the headphones and the audio source device.
ANC Not Working Effectively
  • Ensure ANC mode is activated (press the ANC button).
  • Check that the earcups form a good seal around your ears.
