Setup

Connecting the Mixer

Before connecting any audio sources or outputs, ensure the mixer is powered off. Connect the supplied power adapter to the AC 12V input on the rear panel and then to a suitable power outlet.

Audio Input Connections

  • Channels 1 & 2 (Phono/Line): Connect turntables (Phono) or CD players/other line-level devices (Line) to the RCA inputs for Channel 1 and Channel 2. Use the switch above each channel fader to select between PHONO and LINE input sensitivity.
  • Channels 3 & 4 (Line): Connect additional line-level devices to the RCA inputs for Channel 3 and Channel 4. Channel 3 also supports USB input, and Channel 4 supports Bluetooth input.
  • Microphone Inputs (MIC 1, MIC 2): Connect dynamic microphones to the 6.3mm (1/4") jack inputs on the rear panel.

Audio Output Connections

  • Master Out (RCA): Connect the MASTER OUT RCA jacks to your amplifier, powered speakers, or recording device. This is your main stereo output.
  • Headphone Output (PHONES): Connect your headphones to the 6.3mm (1/4") jack on the rear panel for monitoring.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press the POWER button located on the top right of the mixer to turn the unit on or off. The LED indicator will illuminate when powered on.

Channel Controls

  • Input Selector (LINE/PHONO): For Channels 1 and 2, use the switch above the fader to select the input source (LINE or PHONO).
  • Channel Faders: Adjust the volume level for each individual channel (Channel 1, Channel 2, Channel 3, USB). Slide the fader up to increase volume and down to decrease.
  • Crossfader (A/B): The crossfader allows for smooth transitions between Channel 1/2 (A side) and Channel 3/USB (B side). Slide it left or right to blend between the assigned channels.

Microphone Controls

  • MIC LEVEL: Adjust the overall volume of the connected microphones using the MIC LEVEL knob.
  • TALKOVER: Activate the TALKOVER switch to automatically lower the music volume when a microphone signal is detected, making vocals clearer.

Monitoring (Headphones)

  • CUE SELECT: Use the CUE SELECT knob to choose which channel you want to monitor through your headphones without affecting the main output. Options include MIC, CH1, CH2, CH3, and USB.
  • PHONES Volume: Adjust the headphone output volume using the PHONES knob.

Master Output and Level Display

  • MASTER Volume: Control the overall output volume of the mixer using the MASTER knob.
  • OUTPUT LED Display: The 5-digit LED display shows the master output level, allowing you to monitor your audio levels and prevent clipping.

USB MP3 Player/Recorder

  • USB Port: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port. The mixer can play MP3 files from the drive.
  • Controls: Use the REC, PLAY, PREV, and NEXT buttons to control playback.
  • Recording: Press REC to record your mix directly to the USB drive.

Bluetooth Connectivity

  • Pairing: Ensure the mixer is powered on. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device. The mixer will appear as "Pronomic DX-50" or similar. Select it to pair.
  • Playback: Once paired, audio from your device will stream to Channel 4 (BT/REC). Control playback from your connected device.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the mixer. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
