Pairing Motion Sensor or Remote Control with Receiver
Follow these steps to pair your motion sensor or remote control with the receiver:
- Ensure batteries are loaded in both the receiver and the sensor/remote.
- Press and hold the "Power/Mode key" of the receiver for 3 seconds to turn it OFF.
- Press and hold the "Volume key" for 3 seconds. The receiver will enter learning mode.
- While the receiver is in learning mode, wave your hand in front of the motion sensor or press any key on the remote control. The indicator light on the motion sensor or remote control will flash once, confirming successful pairing.
Installation Guidelines
Motion Sensor Placement
The motion sensor detects movement within a range of 2-8 meters, with a 100-degree horizontal and 15-degree vertical detection angle. For optimal performance, consider the following:
- Mount the sensor using double-sided tape or screws in a location where it can cover the desired detection area.
- Avoid placing the sensor directly facing sunlight or heat sources, which can cause false alarms.
- Ensure the sensor has a clear line of sight to the area you wish to monitor.
- Metal objects can interfere with the signal and reduce transmission range.

Receiver Placement
Place the receiver in a central location within your home or office to ensure it receives signals from the motion sensor effectively. The wireless working range is up to 120 meters (400 feet) in open air.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Mengshen Motion Sensor Alarm System, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the receiver and motion sensor when performance degrades or the low battery indicator (if present) activates. Use alkaline batteries for best results.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the devices with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Environmental Conditions: Protect the devices from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and moisture.
Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on:
- Ensure batteries are correctly inserted with proper polarity and are not depleted. If using USB power for the receiver, verify the cable and power source are functional.
- Motion sensor not detecting:
- Check battery levels in the motion sensor. Ensure there are no obstructions in the detection path. Verify the sensor is within the effective range of the receiver and that pairing is successful.
- No alert from receiver:
- Confirm the receiver is powered on and in the desired operating mode. Check the volume setting. Re-attempt the pairing process if necessary. Ensure the receiver is within range of the motion sensor.
- False alarms:
- Adjust the motion sensor's placement to avoid direct sunlight, moving foliage, or heat sources that might trigger it. Ensure the detection angle is appropriate for the monitored area.
- Reduced transmission range:
- Metal structures or thick walls can interfere with wireless signals. Try repositioning the receiver and sensor to minimize obstructions. Ensure batteries are fresh.
