6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the controller with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Controller not connecting/reconnecting: If the controller has difficulty reconnecting, locate the small reset button on the back of the controller (often a small pinhole). Use a thin object (like a paperclip) to press the reset button. Then, attempt to pair the controller again as described in Section 4.2.
  • Amiibo not scanning: Ensure the Amiibo is placed correctly over the NFC touchpoint. If issues persist, verify that the Amiibo itself is functional with another device. Some users have reported inconsistent Amiibo scanning with third-party controllers, especially with Amiibo cards.
  • Input lag or unresponsiveness: Ensure the controller is fully charged. Move closer to the Nintendo Switch console to minimize wireless interference. If using on PC, ensure a stable wired connection.
  • Controller not charging: Try a different USB-C cable or power source. Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris.
