4. Product Overview

The F&D F6000X system consists of a subwoofer and five satellite speakers, designed to deliver a 5.1 surround sound experience.

4.1 Subwoofer

The subwoofer houses the main amplifier and controls. It features an 8-inch driver for deep bass reproduction.

4.2 Satellite Speakers

Five satellite speakers provide the surround sound channels. These speakers are designed for clear mid-range and high-frequency audio.

5. Setup and Connections

Follow these steps to set up your F&D F6000X system:

5.1 Speaker Placement

  • Front Left/Right: Place these speakers to the left and right of your viewing area, equidistant from the listener.
  • Center: Position the center speaker directly above or below your TV/monitor.
  • Rear Left/Right: Place these speakers behind the listening position, slightly to the sides.
  • Subwoofer: The subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room, typically near a wall or corner for enhanced bass.

5.2 Connecting Speakers to Subwoofer

  1. Connect each satellite speaker to the corresponding spring clip terminals on the rear of the subwoofer. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
  2. Match the speaker cables to the labels: Front Left, Front Right, Center, Rear Left, and Rear Right.

5.3 Connecting Audio Sources

The F6000X supports multiple input options:

  • AUX Input: Use the provided RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect devices like smartphones, tablets, or PCs to the AUX input on the subwoofer.
  • DVD (5.1 CH) Input: Use RCA cables to connect a 5.1 channel DVD player or other compatible source to the dedicated 5.1 input jacks (FL, FR, SL, SR, CEN, SW) on the subwoofer.
  • USB Input: Insert a USB drive into the USB port on the subwoofer for media playback.

5.4 Power Connection

  1. Ensure all audio connections are secure.
  2. Connect the power cord to the subwoofer and then to a suitable AC power outlet.
  3. Turn on the main power switch, usually located on the rear or front panel of the subwoofer.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the front panel of the subwoofer or on the remote control to turn the system on or off.

6.2 Selecting Input Mode

Press the "Input" or "Source" button on the subwoofer's front panel or the remote control to cycle through available input modes: Bluetooth, FM, AUX, USB, and DVD (5.1 CH).

6.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Select Bluetooth mode on the speaker system. The display will indicate "BT" or a similar pairing status.
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "F&D F6000X" (or similar name) from the list.
  4. Once paired, the system will confirm the connection, and you can play audio from your device.

6.4 FM Radio Operation

  1. Select FM mode.
  2. Use the "Scan" or "Auto Tune" button on the remote to automatically search and save available FM stations.
  3. Use the "Previous" and "Next" buttons to navigate through saved stations.

6.5 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive containing audio files into the USB port.
  2. Select USB mode. The system will automatically begin playing compatible audio files.
  3. Use the remote control for playback functions such as Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track, and Volume.

6.6 Remote Control Functions

The included remote control allows for convenient operation of all system functions, including:

  • Power On/Off
  • Input Mode Selection
  • Master Volume Control
  • Individual Channel Volume Control (Front, Rear, Center, Subwoofer)
