Setup

Initial Assembly

1. Place the main unit on a clean, dry, and level surface.
2. Insert the 6-qt. Cooking Pot into the main unit.
3. Place the 10" x 10" Grill Grate or 4-qt. Crisper Basket into the Cooking Pot, depending on your desired cooking function.
4. Ensure the Splatter Shield is properly installed under the hood to minimize smoke.

Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit will power on and the display will illuminate.

Operating Modes and Functions

The Ninja Foodi Indoor Grill offers five versatile cooking functions:

Grill

Achieve authentic char-grilled results indoors. Select the GRILL function and choose your desired temperature setting (LOW, MED, HIGH, MAX).

• LOW: 8-12 mins (e.g., sausages, pepper grinders)
• MED: 6-12 mins (e.g., grilled chicken with veggies)
• HIGH: 4-9 mins (e.g., NY strip steaks)
• MAX: 6-11 mins (e.g., grilled pineapple & peaches)

Air Crisp

Enjoy crispy textures with little to no oil. Select AIR CRISP and set the temperature (e.g., 360°F for 20-25 mins for Nashville hot fried chicken, 350°F for 20-25 mins for frozen fries, 390°F for 20-24 mins for fresh fries).

Roast

Perfect for tender meats and vegetables. Select ROAST and set your desired temperature and time (e.g., roasted carrots).

Bake

Ideal for baking cakes, pastries, and more. Select BAKE and set your desired temperature and time (e.g., grilled apple & raspberry pie).

Dehydrate

Create healthy dried snacks. Select DEHYDRATE and set your desired temperature and time (e.g., apple chips).

Troubleshooting

Excessive Smoke

Ensure the splatter shield is clean and properly installed. Excessive smoke can occur if the splatter shield is dirty or if cooking very fatty foods at high temperatures.

Use oils with a high smoke point, as recommended in the recipe book.

Food Not Cooking Evenly

Ensure the grill grate or crisper basket is properly seated in the cooking pot.

For best results, preheat the unit fully before adding food.

Nonstick Coating Issues

While the ceramic coating is durable, avoid using metal utensils that can scratch the surface. Use silicone or wooden utensils.

Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can damage the nonstick coating.
