Setup

Follow these steps to assemble your Westinghouse WEVC01 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:

  1. Charge the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the vacuum cleaner. Connect the power adapter to the charging station, then place the main vacuum unit onto the charging station. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 4-5 hours.
  2. Attach the Extension Tube: Insert the extension tube into the main vacuum unit until it clicks securely into place.
  3. Attach the Floor Brush: Insert the motorized floor brush into the other end of the extension tube until it clicks securely.
  4. Attach Accessories (Optional): For handheld use, you can attach the 2-in-1 crevice tool or square nozzle directly to the main vacuum unit. For extended reach, attach them to the extension tube.

Operating Instructions

Operating your vacuum cleaner is straightforward:

  1. Power On/Off: Press the power button on the handle to turn the vacuum cleaner on. Press it again to turn it off.
  2. Adjust Suction Speed: The vacuum has two speed settings. Press the speed control button (usually near the power button) to switch between low and high suction modes.
  3. Using the Floor Brush: For general floor cleaning, use the motorized floor brush. The integrated LED lights will illuminate the cleaning path, making dirt visible in dark areas.
  4. Using Accessories: For specific tasks like cleaning crevices, upholstery, or tight spaces, detach the extension tube and floor brush, then attach the 2-in-1 crevice tool or square nozzle directly to the main unit.
  5. Battery Life: The vacuum provides approximately 35-40 minutes of runtime on low speed and 20-25 minutes on high speed when fully charged.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

  1. Emptying the Dustbin: After each use or when the dustbin is full, press the dustbin release button to hygienically empty its contents into a trash receptacle.
  2. Cleaning the Filters: The vacuum features a HEPA filter. Regularly check and clean the filters. Twist and pull to remove the filter assembly from the dustbin. Tap off loose dirt. If necessary, rinse the filters with cold water. Ensure filters are completely dry before reinserting them. Do not use the vacuum with wet filters.
  3. Cleaning the Brush Roll: Periodically check the motorized floor brush for tangled hair or debris. Turn off the vacuum, then use scissors or a brush to carefully remove any obstructions from the brush roll.
  4. Wiping Down the Unit: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
