Setup

Power Connection

  1. Mains Power: Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN (12V) port on the rear of the radio. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  2. Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the rear. Insert 6 x AA alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment. The radio can operate on battery power for portability.

Antenna Setup

For optimal FM and DAB+ reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the radio. Adjust its position for the best signal quality.

Initial Power On

Press the power button (usually located on the front panel, near the display) to turn on the radio. The display will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button on the front panel.
  • Volume Control: Rotate the control knob on the front panel to adjust the volume.
  • Mode Selection: Use the dedicated buttons on the top panel (FM/DAB, Bluetooth, AUX) to switch between audio sources.

DAB+ Radio Mode

  1. Press the FM/DAB button on the top panel until DAB+ mode is selected.
  2. The radio will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations on first use or if no stations are found.
  3. Use the control knob to scroll through the list of available stations. Press the knob to select a station.
  4. Storing Presets: Tune to your desired station. Press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1-5) on the top panel until the display confirms the station is saved.
  5. Recalling Presets: Briefly press the desired numbered preset button (1-5) to recall a saved station.

FM Radio Mode

  1. Press the FM/DAB button on the top panel until FM mode is selected.
  2. Auto Scan: Press and hold the control knob to initiate an automatic scan for FM stations. The radio will stop at the next strong signal.
  3. Manual Tuning: Rotate the control knob to manually tune to a specific frequency.
  4. Storing Presets: Tune to your desired station. Press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1-5) on the top panel until the display confirms the station is saved.
  5. Recalling Presets: Briefly press the desired numbered preset button (1-5) to recall a saved station.

Bluetooth Mode

  1. Press the Bluetooth button on the top panel. The display will show "Pairing" or a similar message, and the Bluetooth indicator will flash.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Sonoro Easy" (or similar name) from the list of devices.
  4. Once connected, the display will show "Connected" and the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing. You can now play audio from your device through the radio.

AUX Input Mode

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the AUX IN port on the rear of the radio using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Press the AUX button on the top panel to switch to AUX input mode.
  3. Control playback and volume from your external audio device.

Alarm Clock Function

The Sonoro Easy Radio features a dual alarm function. Refer to the on-screen menu for detailed alarm setup.

  • Setting Alarms: Navigate through the menu using the control knob to find "Alarm Setup". You can set two independent alarms with customizable time, source (DAB+/FM/Buzzer), and volume.
  • Snooze Function: When an alarm sounds, press the control knob to activate snooze. The alarm will temporarily pause and sound again after a set interval.
  • Stopping Alarm: Press the power button to turn off the alarm for the day.

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the radio to automatically turn off after a set period.

  • Access the "Sleep Timer" option in the menu.
  • Select the desired duration (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes). The radio will play for the selected time and then switch to standby.

Night Light

The integrated LED night light provides soft illumination.

  • Press the Light Bulb button on the top panel to turn the night light on or off.

USB Charging

The USB port on the rear of the radio can be used to charge external devices (e.g., smartphones).

  • Connect your device's USB charging cable to the USB port (5V/1A) on the radio.
  • Charging will begin automatically. Note that the radio must be powered on or in standby for the USB port to provide power.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Battery Care: If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting
