Setup

1. Charging the Mouse

Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the front of the mouse and to a USB power source. A full charge provides up to 70 days of power. A quick 1-minute charge can provide 3 hours of use.

2. Connecting to Your Device

The MX Master 3 offers two connection methods:

  • Via USB Receiver: Plug the included USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer. The mouse should connect automatically.
  • Via Bluetooth:
    1. Turn on the mouse using the power switch on the bottom.
    2. Press the Easy-Switch button on the bottom of the mouse to select an available channel (1, 2, or 3). The LED for the selected channel will blink rapidly.
    3. On your device, open Bluetooth settings and select "MX Master 3" from the list of available devices to pair.

3. Install Logitech Options+ Software

For full customization and advanced features like Flow, download and install the Logitech Options+ software from the official Logitech website. This software allows you to reassign buttons, adjust pointer speed, and enable app-specific settings.

Operating Instructions

MagSpeed Scroll Wheel

The primary scroll wheel automatically switches between line-by-line (ratchet) scrolling and ultrafast (free-spin) scrolling based on your scrolling speed. You can also manually toggle between these modes using the mode shift button located behind the scroll wheel.

Thumb Wheel (Horizontal Scrolling)

Use the thumb wheel on the side of the mouse for horizontal scrolling, ideal for navigating wide spreadsheets or timelines.

Customizable Buttons

The MX Master 3 features several customizable buttons, including forward/back buttons and a gesture button integrated into the thumb rest. Use Logitech Options+ software to assign specific functions or app-specific shortcuts to these buttons.

Logitech Flow

With Logitech Flow enabled in Logitech Options+ software, you can move your mouse cursor across multiple computers seamlessly. This allows you to copy and paste text, images, and files between devices as if they were a single desktop.

Maintenance

Battery Management

  • Tracking Issues: Clean the sensor on the bottom of the mouse. Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface.
