1.2 Safety Information

3. Setup

3.1 Assembling the Stand

  1. Unfold the tripod legs of the stand on a stable, level surface.
  2. Extend the lower section of the stand to the desired height and secure it with the locking pin and knob.
  3. Extend the upper section of the stand and secure it. Ensure all locking mechanisms are tightened before mounting the light bar.

3.2 Attaching the LED Spotlights Bar

  1. Carefully lift the LED bar and align the mounting hole on the bar with the top pole of the stand.
  2. Slide the bar onto the stand pole and secure it using the integrated locking screw or pin.
  3. Adjust the angle of the individual spotlights as needed by loosening their side knobs, positioning them, and then re-tightening the knobs.

3.3 Connecting Power and Controls

  1. Connect the supplied power cable to the power input on the rear of the LED bar.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.
  3. If using the foot pedal, connect its cable to the designated input on the LED bar.
  4. The remote control operates wirelessly and does not require a direct cable connection to the bar.

4. Operation

4.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Once connected to power, the unit will power on. Use the main power switch on the rear of the bar to turn it off.
  • Menu Navigation: Use the buttons on the control panel (Menu, Up, Down, Enter) to navigate through the various settings and modes displayed on the digital screen.

4.2 Light Modes and Effects

The lightmaXX Platinum CLS-3 MkII offers several built-in programs and modes:

  • Auto Mode: Cycles through pre-programmed light sequences automatically.
  • Sound-Activated Mode: Lights react to ambient sound via a built-in microphone. Adjust sensitivity if needed.
  • Static Color Mode: Select a single, fixed color for all spotlights.
  • Color Mixing: Adjust individual RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) values to create custom colors.

4.3 DMX Control

For advanced control, the lightmaXX Platinum CLS-3 MkII can be operated via DMX (Digital Multiplex). This allows integration with professional lighting controllers.

  • Connecting DMX: Use standard 3-pin DMX cables to connect the DMX OUT of your controller to the DMX IN of the CLS-3 MkII. For multiple units, daisy-chain them from DMX OUT to DMX IN.
  • DMX Address Setting: Set the unique DMX starting address for the unit using the control panel. Refer to the DMX channel chart (usually found in a separate DMX manual or detailed product sheet) for specific channel assignments and functions.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Disconnect the unit from power before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the exterior of the LED bar and spotlights.
  • For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth.
