3.3 Electrical Connection

The hob requires a 230 Volts AC power supply for the auto electric ignition. Ensure the electrical connection is properly grounded and installed by a qualified electrician.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Igniting a Burner

  1. Place a suitable cooking vessel on the burner grate.
  2. Push down the corresponding control knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the "Ignite" position (usually marked with a flame symbol).
  3. The auto electric ignition will spark, and the burner will ignite.
  4. Once the flame is lit, continue to hold the knob down for a few seconds (approximately 5-7 seconds) to allow the Flame Failure Device (FFD) sensor to heat up and engage, especially for the large burner equipped with FFD.
  5. Release the knob. If the flame goes out, repeat the process, holding the knob down for a longer duration.
  6. Adjust the flame size by turning the knob between the "High" and "Low" settings.

4.2 Turning Off a Burner

To turn off a burner, turn the control knob clockwise until it reaches the "Off" position (usually marked with a dot or '0'). Ensure the flame is completely extinguished.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your hob. Always ensure the hob is cool and disconnected from the power supply before cleaning.

5.1 Cleaning the Glass Top

  • Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild detergent and warm water.
  • For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive glass cleaner specifically designed for ceramic or glass cooktops.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals as they can scratch or damage the glass surface.
  • Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots.

5.2 Cleaning Burners and Grates

  • Remove the burner caps, burner rings, and pan supports (grates) when cool.
  • Wash them with warm soapy water. For brass burners, avoid harsh chemicals that may tarnish the finish.
  • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling. Blocked burner holes can affect flame quality.
  • Clean the ignition pins gently with a dry cloth to ensure proper sparking.

5.3 Control Knobs

The control knobs can be removed by pulling them gently upwards. Clean them with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Ensure they are dry before reattaching.
