1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SONOFF Smart Light Switch (Model: T2US2C). This 2-gang touch-sensitive wall switch integrates with your 2.4GHz WiFi network, allowing for smart control of your lighting. It is compatible with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Home, and supports RF433 remote control. A neutral wire is required for installation.

4. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating this device. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

  • Professional Installation Recommended: If you are not familiar with electrical wiring, it is highly recommended to consult a qualified electrician for installation.
  • Power Off Before Installation: Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before beginning any electrical work. Verify that power is off using a voltage tester.
  • Neutral Wire Required: This smart switch requires a neutral wire for proper operation. Ensure your electrical box has a neutral wire available.
  • Indoor Use Only: This device is designed for indoor use in dry locations only. Do not expose to water or moisture.
  • Operating Voltage: Ensure the operating voltage of your electrical system matches the switch's specifications (120 Volts).
  • Do Not Exceed Ratings: Do not exceed the maximum current rating of 4 Amps.
  • Not a Dimmer Switch: This switch is designed for ON/OFF control only and does not support dimming functions.

5. Setup

5.1 Wiring Installation

Before proceeding, ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker. This smart switch requires a neutral wire. Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct connections.

  1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker for the light switch you are replacing.
  2. Remove the existing wall plate and switch.
  3. Identify the Live (L In), Neutral (N In), and Load (L1 Out, L2 Out) wires. A neutral wire is typically white or gray.
  4. Connect the wires to the corresponding terminals on the SONOFF Smart Light Switch as shown in the diagram. Ensure all connections are secure.
  5. Carefully push the switch into the wall box and secure it with the provided screws.
  6. Attach the glass panel. Ensure it is clipped in place and perfectly flat against the switch plate for optimal touch response.
  7. Restore power at the circuit breaker.

5.2 App Installation and Pairing

To enable smart features, you need to install the eWeLink app and pair your device.

  1. Download eWeLink App: Search for "eWeLink" in your mobile app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
  2. Register/Login: Open the eWeLink app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
  3. Enter Pairing Mode: Long press any configuration button on the smart switch for about 5 seconds until the WiFi LED indicator changes in a cycle of two short flashes and one long flash.
  4. Add Device in App:
    • Tap the "+" icon in the eWeLink app.
    • Select "Quick Pairing".
    • Enter your 2.4GHz WiFi network password (5GHz networks are not supported).
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. The app will search for and add your device.
  5. Rename Device: Once successfully added, you can rename your switch (e.g., "Living Room Lights") for easier identification.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Manual Touch Control

The smart switch features a touch-sensitive glass panel. Simply tap the desired button on the panel to turn the connected light(s) ON or OFF.

6.2 App Control (eWeLink)

Control your lights from anywhere using the eWeLink app on your smartphone or tablet.

  • Open the eWeLink app.
  • Select your SONOFF Smart Light Switch from the device list.
  • Tap the ON/OFF buttons for each channel to control your lights remotely.

6.3 Voice Control (Alexa & Google Home)

Integrate your smart switch with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for convenient voice control.

  • Ensure your eWeLink account is linked to your Alexa or Google Home app.
  • Discover new devices in your voice assistant app.
  • Use voice commands such as:
    • "Alexa, turn on [Device Name]."
    • "Hey Google, turn off [Device Name]."

6.4 RF433 Remote Control

The switch supports RF433 remote control for an additional layer of convenience. (RF433 remote sold separately).

  • Refer to your RF433 remote's instructions for pairing with the smart switch.
  • Once paired, you can control the lights using the remote without needing the app or voice commands.

6.5 Timer & Schedule Functions

Automate your lighting with customizable timers and schedules through the eWeLink app.

  • In the eWeLink app, select your smart switch.
  • Navigate to the "Schedule" or "Timer" section.
  • Set specific times for lights to turn ON or OFF, or create recurring schedules for daily routines.

6.6 Family Sharing

Share control of your smart switch with family members through the eWeLink app.

  • In the eWeLink app, go to the device settings for your smart switch.
  • Select the "Share" option.
  • Invite other eWeLink users to control the device.

6.7 LAN Control

For TX series switches, LAN control allows you to operate appliances even without an active Wi-Fi connection to the internet, provided they are on the same local network.

  • Ensure your smartphone and the smart switch are connected to the same local network.
  • The eWeLink app will automatically detect devices on the local network, allowing control even if the internet connection is down.

7. Maintenance

The SONOFF Smart Light Switch features a toughened glass panel that is easy to clean.

  • To clean the surface, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the glass or internal components.
  • Ensure the switch is dry before operating it after cleaning.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SONOFF Smart Light Switch, refer to the following common solutions:

Problem Solution
Device not pairing/connecting to WiFi.
  • Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. This switch does not support 5GHz networks.
  • Verify the WiFi password entered in the eWeLink app is correct.
  • Make sure the switch is in pairing mode (WiFi LED indicator cycling). If not, long press any button for 5 seconds.
  • Move your smartphone closer to the WiFi router and the switch during pairing.
  • Restart your WiFi router and try again.
Touch response is inconsistent or unresponsive.
  • Ensure the glass face plate is securely clipped in place and perfectly flat against the switch plate.
  • Clean the glass surface to remove any dirt or moisture.
Lights do not turn ON/OFF after installation.
  • Verify that the power is restored at the circuit breaker.
  • Double-check all wiring connections according to the diagram in Section 5.1. Ensure the neutral wire is correctly connected.
  • Confirm that the connected light bulb(s) are functional.
Voice control not working.
  • Ensure your eWeLink account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Home app.
  • Verify that the device is discovered and named appropriately in your voice assistant app.
  • Check your internet connection.
