Setup

1. Battery Installation:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lid.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Installing the Trash Bag:

1. Remove the inner ring from the top of the trash can body.
2. Place a standard 13-gallon kitchen trash bag into the can, ensuring the edges are folded over the top rim of the can.
3. Place the inner ring back into position, securing the trash bag in place. This helps to keep the bag out of sight.

The inner ring securely holds the trash bag, preventing it from slipping.

Operating Instructions

1. Motion Sensor Operation:

• To open the lid, simply wave your hand or an object within the sensor's detection zone (approximately 6-10 inches above the sensor).
• The lid will open automatically.
• After 5 seconds of inactivity, the lid will close gently and quietly.

The intelligent motion sensor provides hands-free operation, and the lid closes softly after 5 seconds.

2. Manual Open/Stay Open Function:

• For longer tasks, press the 'OPEN' button on the control panel. The lid will open and remain open.
• To close the lid, press the 'CLOSE' button, or the lid will close automatically after a prolonged period of inactivity (typically 5 minutes).

The manual 'OPEN' button keeps the lid open for extended periods, and the can is designed to fit standard 13-gallon trash bags.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Wipe the exterior of the trash can with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the stainless steel finish.
• For fingerprint resistance, simply wipe with a clean, dry cloth.
• The inner ring can be removed and washed with soap and water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
• Do not spray water directly onto the lid or sensor area.

Battery Replacement:
