Maintenance
Battery Replacement
Replace the AAA batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases or it stops functioning. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
Cleaning
To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, sprays, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.
Troubleshooting
- Remote is not responding:
- Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace old batteries with new AAA batteries.
- Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the TV's IR receiver. Obstructions can block the signal.
- Confirm that the remote is pointed directly at the TV.
- Some buttons are not working:
- This can sometimes indicate low battery power. Try replacing the batteries.
- If individual buttons consistently fail, the remote may be damaged and require replacement.
- Remote feels warm or hot:
- Immediately remove the batteries. This could indicate a battery malfunction or internal short circuit. Discontinue use and replace the remote.
- Remote does not control Roku streaming stick/box:
- This remote is designed exclusively for Insignia Roku Smart LED TVs and is not compatible with standalone Roku streaming devices.
