3. Setup & Installation
3.1. SD Card Installation
Insert a high endurance microSD card (up to 512GB, sold separately) into the designated slot on the main dash cam unit. Ensure the card is formatted before first use. VIOFO industrial high endurance microSD cards are recommended for optimal performance and durability.

3.2. Mounting the Front Camera
- Clean the desired area on your windshield thoroughly.
- Apply a static sticker to the clean windshield. This allows for easier removal of the dash cam mount later.
- Peel off the protective film from one side of the 3M adhesive on the GPS module.
- Attach the GPS module to the static sticker on the windshield.
- Slide the main dash cam unit onto the mounted GPS module.
3.3. Mounting the Rear Camera
Clean the desired area on your rear windshield. Apply a static sticker, then attach the rear camera using its 3M adhesive. Adjust the camera's tilt for optimal viewing.
3.4. Wiring and Cable Management
- Connect the rear camera to the main unit using the provided 6M rear camera cable. Route the cable neatly along the headliner, down the A-pillar (avoiding airbags), and along the door trim to the rear windshield.
- Connect the main dash cam unit to the car charger using the Mini USB cable. Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet.
- Alternatively, for a cleaner installation, you can use a hardwire kit (VIOFO HK3, sold separately) to connect directly to your car's fuse box for continuous power, enabling advanced parking modes.
3.5. Power On
The VIOFO A129 Pro Duo is designed to automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the engine is turned off.
