2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or damage to the unit, please observe the following safety precautions:

• Read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
• Do not use this apparatus near water or in excessively humid environments.
• Clean only with a dry cloth.
• Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

4. Initial Setup

4.1 Power Connection

1. Ensure the mixer's power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the provided power adapter to the AC IN port on the rear of the mixer.
3. Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
4. Turn on the mixer using the power switch. The power indicator light will illuminate.

4.2 Connecting Audio Sources

• Microphones: Connect dynamic or condenser microphones to the MIC/LINE inputs (XLR jacks). If using condenser microphones, activate the +48V Phantom Power switch (ensure all other connections are made before activating).
• Line-Level Instruments/Devices: Connect keyboards, guitars (with a DI box), or other line-level audio devices to the MIC/LINE inputs using 1/4" TRS cables.

5. Operation Guide

5.1 Basic Mixing

1. Gain Staging: Set the GAIN knob for each active channel so that the PEAK LED flashes only occasionally during the loudest parts of the signal. This ensures a strong signal without distortion.
2. Equalization (EQ): Use the HIGH, MID, and LOW knobs to adjust the tonal characteristics of each input. Turn clockwise to boost frequencies, counter-clockwise to cut.
3. Pan: Position the sound source in the stereo field using the PAN knob.
4. Channel Level: Use the channel faders to set the relative volume of each input in the mix.
5. Main Mix: Adjust the MAIN L/R faders to control the overall output volume of the mixer.

5.2 Using the Digital Effects

The ES602 features a built-in digital effects processor. To apply effects:

1. Use the EFF SEND knob on each channel to send signal to the effects processor.
2. Select the desired effect (e.g., Delay, Reverb) using the effect program selector.
3. Adjust the EFF LEVEL knob to control the overall wet/dry mix of the effects.
4. Fine-tune effect parameters (e.g., Delay time, Reverb decay) using the dedicated parameter knobs.

5.4 Bluetooth Connectivity

1. Activate Bluetooth mode on the USB/MP3/Bluetooth module. The display will indicate Bluetooth pairing mode.
2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet), search for Bluetooth devices and select "XTUGA ES602" (or similar name).
3. Once paired, audio from your device will play through the mixer. Adjust the USB/MP3/Bluetooth module's volume control.

5.5 Phantom Power (+48V)

The +48V phantom power switch provides power to condenser microphones. Ensure all connections are made before activating phantom power to prevent damage to non-phantom powered devices. Always turn off phantom power before connecting or disconnecting microphones.
