4.2 Water Resistance

Your Luminox watch is water resistant to 200 meters (660 feet / 20 ATM). This rating means the watch is suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. It is not designed for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.

4.3 Illumination Technology

The watch incorporates two illumination systems:

  • Luminox Light Technology (LLT): Self-powered micro gas light sources provide constant illumination for up to 25 years, visible in all conditions without needing external light exposure or battery power. This is present on the dial ring, minute, and hour hands.
  • Super-LumiNova (SLN): A light-powered luminous pigment applied to the second hand and chronograph hands. This material absorbs light and glows in the dark for a period after exposure to a light source.

5. Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For rubber straps, mild soap and water can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Water Resistance: To maintain water resistance, have your watch checked periodically by an authorized service center, especially after any impact or if the crown or pushers feel loose.
  • Battery Replacement: When the battery needs replacement, it is highly recommended to have this service performed by an authorized Luminox service center. This ensures the correct battery type is used and the water resistance seal is properly re-established.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60°C / 140°F or below 0°C / 32°F) or sudden temperature changes.
  • Chemicals: Avoid direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetic products, as they can damage the strap, case, or gaskets.
