Setup
Battery Installation
The LEAP Chess Clock requires one AA battery for operation. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the unit.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the chess clock.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert one AA battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Upon successful battery installation, the timer will beep, and the screen will display "0:00 0:00" indicating it is ready for use in counting up mode.

Operating Instructions
The LEAP Chess Clock features intuitive controls for quick setup and game play.
Quick Start
- Turn Clock ON: Set the ON-OFF rocker switch on the bottom to the ON position.
- Counting Up (Default): The clock will start in counting up mode. Press the Play/Pause (►►/▌▌) button briefly to start.
- Counting Down: Press and hold the Play/Pause (►►/▌▌) button for 3 seconds to enter countdown setting mode. Set the time using the + and - buttons. Move forward through digits by short pressing the Play/Pause (►►/▌▌) button. When finished, press and hold Play/Pause (►►/▌▌) again for 3 seconds to start the clock.
Button Functions
- + Button: Increases the time value during setting.
- - Button: Decreases the time value during setting.
- Play/Pause (►►/▌▌) Button:
- Briefly press to switch between players during a game.
- Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode (for countdown).
- Briefly press during setting to move to the next digit (hours, minutes, seconds).
- Press and hold for 3 seconds after setting to start the game.

- Bonus Function: Adds a specified amount of time to a player's clock after each move. This can only be used in countdown mode. When setting bonus time, ensure delay time is set to "00".
- Delay Function: Delays the start of a player's clock for a specified amount of time after their opponent completes a move. This can only be used in countdown mode. When setting delay time, ensure bonus time is set to "00".
- Alarm Function: The clock is equipped with an alarm function. While it has the ability to beep upon power-on, this model may not consistently beep when time reaches zero.
- Countdown Mode: Allows players to set a specific time limit for their moves, counting down to zero.
- Counting Up Mode: Measures the total time elapsed for each player, starting from zero.

Maintenance
