3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The AS63B Vibration Analyzer operates on a 9-volt battery. To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the main unit.
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert a new 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery cover securely.
3.2 Probe Connection
Connect the sub-unit handle (probe) to the main unit by inserting its connector into the sub-unit handle connector (1) on the top of the main unit. Ensure the connection is firm. Select the appropriate interchangeable probe tip (Magnetic, Point, or Round) for your specific measurement application and attach it to the detect head (8) of the sub-unit handle.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
To power on the device, press the Power On/Off button (5) on the main unit. The LCD display (2) will illuminate. To power off, press the Power On/Off button (5) again. The device also features an auto power-off function after 1 minute of no operation to conserve battery life.

4.2 Taking Measurements
Once powered on and the probe is connected:
- Select the desired measurement mode (Acceleration, Speed, or Displacement) using the Measuring mode select button (3).
- Position the detect head (8) of the probe firmly against the surface of the object whose vibration you wish to measure.
- Press the On/Off/Measure button (9) on the sub-unit handle to initiate measurement.
- The measurement results will be displayed on the LCD screen (2).
- To hold the maximum value on the display, press the Maximum value locks button (7).

4.3 Unit Conversion
To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units (if applicable for environmental readings or internal temperature compensation), press the °C/°F Conversion button (6).
