Initial Inspection
Upon receiving your ALORAIR CleanShield HEPA 550, inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
Filter Installation/Verification
Remove Front Cover: Unlatch the clips on the front of the unit and remove the circular cover. This cover is tethered to prevent loss.
Check Pre-Filter (MERV-10): The first filter visible is the MERV-10 pre-filter. Ensure it is correctly seated. This filter captures large particles like dust, lint, hair, and pet fur.
Access Internal Filters: Unlatch the side clips of the unit to open the main housing.
Install/Verify HEPA and Carbon Filters: Inside, you will find the HEPA filter (removes 99.5% of particles larger than 0.3 microns) and the activated carbon filter (eliminates smoke, fumes, VOCs, pet odors). Ensure these are properly installed.
Reassemble: Close the main housing, secure the side latches, and reattach the front circular cover.
