Setup and First Use

Before using your machine for the first time, follow these steps to ensure proper setup.

1. Unpacking and Placement

2. Water Tank Filling

The water tank is located on the side of the machine. It is recommended to use filtered water to prevent scale buildup and improve coffee taste.

  1. Pull out the water tank from the side of the machine.
  2. Fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level indicated.
  3. Slide the water tank back into its position until it clicks securely.

3. Coffee Bean and Ground Coffee Loading

Your Dinamica machine can use whole coffee beans or pre-ground coffee.

Operating Your Machine

The intuitive control panel allows for easy selection of your desired beverage.

2. Brewing Coffee and Espresso

Place your cup(s) under the dispensing spouts. The spouts can be adjusted vertically to accommodate different cup sizes.

Select your desired beverage from the control panel. The machine will automatically grind the beans (if applicable) and brew your coffee.

3. Steaming Milk for Cappuccinos and Lattes

The Premium Adjustable Frother allows you to steam milk for creamy cappuccinos or hot milk for lattes.

  1. Fill a milk pitcher with cold milk (De'Longhi recommends cold skim or 2% dairy milk).
  2. Position the frother nozzle into the milk.
  3. Select the "Hot Milk" or "Cappuccino" setting on the control panel.
  4. Turn the steam lever on the side of the machine to activate steaming.
  5. Once desired froth is achieved, turn off the steam lever and remove the milk pitcher.

4. TrueBrew Over Ice Technology

The Dinamica features a unique TrueBrew Over Ice technology for smooth, full-bodied iced coffee that is never watered down.

  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Place the glass under the dispensing spouts.
  3. Select the "Over Ice" button on the control panel.
  4. The machine will brew coffee at a lower temperature, specifically optimized for iced beverages.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the best performance and extends the life of your machine.

1. Drip Tray and Coffee Grounds Container

The drip tray collects excess water, and the coffee grounds container stores used coffee pucks. Both should be emptied and cleaned regularly.

2. Water Reservoir Cleaning

Periodically clean the water reservoir to prevent mineral buildup.

3. Descaling

The machine will indicate when descaling is required. This process removes mineral buildup from the internal components.

Troubleshooting
