Setup and First Use
Before using your machine for the first time, follow these steps to ensure proper setup.
1. Unpacking and Placement
- Remove all packaging materials from the machine and its components.
- Place the machine on a stable, flat surface away from water sources and heat.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.

2. Water Tank Filling
The water tank is located on the side of the machine. It is recommended to use filtered water to prevent scale buildup and improve coffee taste.
- Pull out the water tank from the side of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level indicated.
- Slide the water tank back into its position until it clicks securely.

3. Coffee Bean and Ground Coffee Loading
Your Dinamica machine can use whole coffee beans or pre-ground coffee.
- For Whole Beans: Open the lid on top of the machine. Pour fresh coffee beans into the bean hopper. The integrated steel burr grinder will grind them as needed. You can adjust the grind fineness using the dial inside the hopper.
- For Pre-Ground Coffee: Open the small lid next to the bean hopper. Add one scoop of pre-ground coffee for a single serving. Do not add more than one scoop to avoid clogging.
Operating Your Machine
The intuitive control panel allows for easy selection of your desired beverage.
1. Control Panel Overview
The touch-sensitive display provides various options for customizing your coffee experience.

- Strength Selection: Use the bean icons to adjust coffee strength from mild to extra strong.
- Beverage Buttons: Directly select Espresso, Coffee, Long Coffee, or Over Ice.
- 2x Button: Press to brew two servings of your selected beverage simultaneously.
2. Brewing Coffee and Espresso
Place your cup(s) under the dispensing spouts. The spouts can be adjusted vertically to accommodate different cup sizes.

Select your desired beverage from the control panel. The machine will automatically grind the beans (if applicable) and brew your coffee.
3. Steaming Milk for Cappuccinos and Lattes
The Premium Adjustable Frother allows you to steam milk for creamy cappuccinos or hot milk for lattes.
- Fill a milk pitcher with cold milk (De'Longhi recommends cold skim or 2% dairy milk).
- Position the frother nozzle into the milk.
- Select the "Hot Milk" or "Cappuccino" setting on the control panel.
- Turn the steam lever on the side of the machine to activate steaming.
- Once desired froth is achieved, turn off the steam lever and remove the milk pitcher.

4. TrueBrew Over Ice Technology
The Dinamica features a unique TrueBrew Over Ice technology for smooth, full-bodied iced coffee that is never watered down.
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Place the glass under the dispensing spouts.
- Select the "Over Ice" button on the control panel.
- The machine will brew coffee at a lower temperature, specifically optimized for iced beverages.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures the best performance and extends the life of your machine.
1. Drip Tray and Coffee Grounds Container
The drip tray collects excess water, and the coffee grounds container stores used coffee pucks. Both should be emptied and cleaned regularly.
- Pull out the drip tray and coffee grounds container from the front of the machine.
- Empty the coffee grounds and discard any water from the drip tray.
- Wash both components with warm water and mild detergent. They are also dishwasher-safe.
- Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting them into the machine.
2. Water Reservoir Cleaning
Periodically clean the water reservoir to prevent mineral buildup.
- Remove the water tank as described in the Setup section.
- Wash the tank with warm water and mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
3. Descaling
The machine will indicate when descaling is required. This process removes mineral buildup from the internal components.
- Use only De'Longhi descaling solution.
- Follow the on-screen instructions on the machine's display for the descaling cycle.
- The process typically takes about 30-45 minutes and involves several rinsing phases.
Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their solutions:
