Setup Instructions

2. Assembly

  2. Mount the indicator to the top of the column.
  3. Place the stainless steel weighing platform onto the base.

3. Placement

  • Place the scale on a stable, level surface free from vibrations.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, drafts, and extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Ensure adequate space around the scale for operation and maintenance.

4. Power Connection

  • Connect the power adapter to the scale's power input port.
  • Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
  • Allow the scale to warm up for at least 15 minutes before initial use for optimal accuracy.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Weighing

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to power on the scale.
  2. Wait for the display to show 0.00.
  3. Place the item to be weighed on the center of the weighing platform.
  4. Read the stable weight displayed on the screen.
  5. To clear the weight, remove the item and press the ZERO or TARE button if needed.

2. Unit Selection

The Defender 5000 supports various weighing units. To change the unit:

  • Press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle through available units: lb, oz, lb/oz, kg, g, metric tonnes, short ton, and custom units.
  • The selected unit will be indicated on the display.

3. Taring

To weigh an item in a container, use the Tare function:

  1. Place the empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will show 0.00, indicating the container's weight has been tared out.
  3. Place the item to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the item.

4. Calibration

5. Advanced Features
