2. Safety Information

4. Setup
4.1 Initial Connection
Before connecting any cables, ensure the receiver and all connected devices are powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Use high-quality HDMI cables for video and audio connections. Connect your TV to the HDMI MONITOR OUT port (eARC/ARC compatible) on the receiver. Connect your source devices (Blu-ray player, game console, media player) to the HDMI INPUT ports.

4.2 Speaker Connection
Connect your speakers to the corresponding speaker terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for each speaker. The AVR-X2600H supports a 7.2 channel configuration. For Dolby Atmos or DTS:X, connect height speakers or use Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology.
4.3 Network Connection
For network features and firmware updates, connect the receiver to your home network. You can use an Ethernet cable for a wired connection or the built-in Wi-Fi for a wireless connection. Ensure the Wi-Fi antennas are properly attached for optimal wireless performance.
4.4 Initial Setup Assistant
After all connections are made, plug in the receiver and turn it on. The Denon Setup Assistant will appear on your TV screen, guiding you through the initial setup process, including speaker configuration, network settings, and input assignments. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
4.5 Audyssey Room Correction
The AVR-X2600H features Audyssey MultEQ XT room acoustic correction. Connect the supplied setup microphone to the SETUP MIC jack on the front panel. Place the microphone at your primary listening position and follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your speakers for optimal sound performance in your room.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Controls
- Power: Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control to turn the receiver on/off.
- Input Selection: Use the SOURCE SELECT knob on the front panel or the input buttons on the remote control (e.g., CBL/SAT, Blu-ray, Game) to switch between connected devices.
- Volume Control: Adjust the MASTER VOLUME knob on the front panel or the VOLUME +/- buttons on the remote control.
5.2 Audio Modes
The receiver automatically detects the incoming audio format and applies the appropriate decoding. You can manually select different sound modes using the MOVIE, MUSIC, and GAME buttons on the remote control to optimize the audio experience for various content types. Supported formats include Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology.
5.3 Video Features
The AVR-X2600H supports 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video pass-through, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG. Ensure your TV and source devices are also compatible with these technologies for the best picture quality. The eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) feature allows for uncompressed audio transmission from your TV to the receiver via a single HDMI cable.
5.4 Wireless Streaming & HEOS
Utilize built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Apple AirPlay 2 for wireless audio streaming from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. The HEOS Built-in feature enables multi-room audio, allowing you to play music from various online streaming services (Spotify, Pandora, Tidal) across multiple HEOS-enabled devices in your home.
5.5 Voice Control
The receiver is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri. Link your Denon AVR-X2600H to your preferred voice assistant app to control functions like power on/off, volume adjustment, input switching, and music playback using voice commands.

6. Maintenance
