5. Setup and Installation

1. Power Off WASHLET+: Ensure your WASHLET+ unit is powered off. This can typically be done by holding down the power button on its remote control or by unplugging the unit.
2. Turn Off Water Supply: Locate the water supply valve for your toilet, usually on the wall behind or near the toilet, and turn it clockwise until the water flow stops completely.
3. Empty Toilet Tank: Flush the toilet to drain the water from the tank. Hold the flush lever down until the tank is as empty as possible.
4. Remove Tank Lid: Carefully lift the ceramic tank lid. It is heavy and fragile, so use both hands and place it on a soft, stable surface to prevent damage.
