What's in the Box
Upon opening the package, please verify that all components are present and in good condition:
- Main Unit (LAUNCH CRP123X Elite OBD2 Scanner)
- OBD Cable
- USB Charging Cable (for connecting to PC or phone charger)
- Carrying Bag
Note: A charger is not included. The device can be powered via the vehicle's DLC port or charged via the USB cable.
Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to charge the device for 2-3 hours using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the USB cable to the scanner and a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The indicator light on the device will show charging status.
2. Connecting to Vehicle
Locate the OBD-II diagnostic port in your vehicle (typically under the dashboard on the driver's side). Connect the provided OBD cable to the scanner and then to your vehicle's OBD-II port. The device will power on automatically once connected to the vehicle.
3. Wi-Fi Connection
For software updates and online features, connect the scanner to a Wi-Fi network:
- From the main menu, tap "Settings".
- Select "Wi-Fi" and turn it ON.
- Choose your desired network and enter the password if prompted.
4. Software Updates
The CRP123X Elite offers lifetime free updates. It is crucial to keep your software updated for new vehicle models and features:
- Ensure the device is connected to Wi-Fi.
- From the main menu, tap "Upgrade".
- Select the available updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Updates are typically one-click and do not require a PC or SD card.

Operating the Scanner
1. Auto VIN Scan
The device can automatically identify vehicle information (make, model, year) for quick diagnostics:
- Connect the scanner to the vehicle's OBD-II port.
- The scanner will attempt to automatically detect the VIN. If successful, it will display the vehicle information.
- If Auto VIN fails, you can manually input the VIN.

2. Multi-System Diagnosis
The CRP123X Elite diagnoses four core vehicle systems:
- Engine System: Reads and clears engine fault codes, views live data related to engine performance.
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): Diagnoses ABS issues, reads and clears ABS codes, views live data.
- Supplemental Restraint System (SRS/Airbag): Checks airbag system status, reads and clears SRS codes.
- Transmission System: Diagnoses transmission problems, reads and clears transmission codes, views live data.

3. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
After a system scan, the device will display any detected DTCs. You can then:
- Read Codes: View detailed definitions of the fault codes to understand the underlying issue.
- Clear Codes: Once a repair has been made, use this function to erase the fault codes and turn off warning lights.
4. Live Data Display
Monitor real-time vehicle sensor data in text or graphical format. This helps in identifying abnormal readings and diagnosing intermittent issues.
- Data can be displayed in single, multi-graph, or merged 4-in-1 formats for comprehensive analysis.
- Data can be recorded and played back for later review.

5. Special Reset Functions
The CRP123X Elite includes 7 free reset functions for common maintenance tasks:
- Oil Reset: Resets the oil service light after an oil change.
- Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Reset: Calibrates the steering angle sensor.
- Throttle Adaptation: Relearns the throttle body position.
- ABS Bleeding: Bleeds air from the ABS system.
- Battery Management System (BMS) Reset: Resets the battery monitoring system after battery replacement.
- Brake Reset: Resets the electronic parking brake (EPB) after brake pad replacement.
- Diesel Particulate Filter (D-P-F) Regeneration: Initiates DPF regeneration process.

6. Battery Voltage Monitoring
The scanner can monitor your vehicle's battery voltage in real-time, displayed in graphs and text, to help assess battery health.

7. Diagnostic Report Generation and Sharing
Generate professional diagnostic reports in PDF format. These reports can be saved, emailed, or printed for future reference or sharing with a mechanic.
- Reports are stored in the diagnostic history for easy access.
- Use the "Share" option to send reports via Wi-Fi.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

- Device Fails to Turn On:
