Setup

1. Battery Installation

Insert the provided 4 AAA batteries into the main unit and the remote sensor, observing the correct polarity (+/-). The display will activate once batteries are installed.

2. Sensor Placement

Place the remote sensor outdoors in a location that is protected from direct sunlight and precipitation for accurate readings. The sensor is cold-resistant and waterproof, but extreme direct exposure should be minimized for longevity. The main unit can be placed indoors on a tabletop, mounted on a wall, or attached to a magnetic surface.

3. Pairing and Synchronization

The main unit and remote sensor are pre-synchronized at the factory. If they do not connect automatically, press the "CHANNEL SYNC" button on the main unit to initiate synchronization. The main unit can support up to three remote sensors (sold separately). Use the "CHANNEL SYNC" button to switch between channels if multiple sensors are connected.

Operating Instructions

1. Reading the Display

The large LCD display shows both outdoor (OUT) and indoor (IN) temperature and humidity readings. The outdoor reading is typically displayed at the top, and the indoor reading at the bottom.

2. Changing Temperature Units (°F/°C)

Press the "°F/°C ALL-TIME/24" button once to switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) temperature units.

3. Max/Min Temperature and Humidity

Press the "MAX/MIN CLEAR" button to view the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity recorded since the last reset. Press once for MAX readings, press again for MIN readings. To clear the recorded MAX/MIN data, press and hold the "MAX/MIN CLEAR" button for 3 seconds.

4. Backlight Operation

The display features a touch-sensitive backlight. Briefly touch the top of the unit to activate the backlight for 10 seconds, allowing for easy viewing in low-light conditions.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator icon appears on the display, it's time to replace the batteries in the respective unit (main unit or sensor). Use 4 new AAA batteries for replacement.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the unit clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents as they may damage the plastic components.

3. Sensor Care

While the outdoor sensor is waterproof and cold-resistant, prolonged exposure to extreme conditions or direct water immersion should be avoided. Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed to maintain its water resistance.
