5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Slide the battery cover open.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

5.2 Mobile Application Download

To access detailed reports and historical data, download the free EMAY companion app for iOS or Android devices.

  • For iOS devices, search for "EMAY" in the Apple App Store.

  • Install the application on your smartphone or tablet.

6. Operation

6.1 Continuous Overnight Recording

The EMAY Sleep Oxygen Monitor is designed to record SpO2 and heart rate continuously throughout the night without requiring a real-time connection to your phone.

  1. Ensure the device has sufficient battery life.
  2. Open the finger clip and place your finger (typically the index or middle finger) into the device. Ensure your finger is fully inserted and rests comfortably.
  3. Secure the device on your finger using the patented rubber velcro strap if desired, especially for overnight use, to prevent it from falling off.
  4. Press the power button to turn on the device. It will automatically begin recording data.
  5. Wear the device throughout your sleep. The device will store up to 40 hours of continuous data.
  6. In the morning, remove the device from your finger.

6.2 Spot Check Mode

The device can also be used for quick spot checks of your SpO2 and pulse rate.

  • Insert your finger into the device and press the power button.
  • The device will display real-time SpO2 and pulse rate readings on the LCD screen.
  • In spot check mode, data is not stored in the device's memory.

6.3 Alert Function

The device features an alert function that can be configured to beep when oxygen levels drop below a preset limit (e.g., 88%).

7. Mobile Application Usage

The EMAY app allows you to download, review, and share your recorded sleep data.

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone/tablet.
  2. Open the EMAY app.
  3. Turn on the EMAY Sleep Oxygen Monitor. The app should automatically detect and connect to the device. If not, follow the app's instructions to pair manually.
  4. Once connected, the app will prompt you to download the recorded data from the device.
  5. Review your historical data second by second within the app.
  6. Generate and export summary reports (PDF or CSV) to share with your physician or for personal analysis.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning

  • Clean the device surface with a soft, dry cloth.
  • If necessary, use a cloth lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol) to clean the finger contact area.
  • Do not immerse the device in water or any cleaning solutions.
  • Allow the device to air dry completely before storage or next use.

8.2 Storage

  • Store the device in its original storage pouch or a clean, dry place.
  • Avoid storing in areas with extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent battery leakage.
