2. Setup & Installation
Proper installation ensures optimal performance and longevity of your door sill guards. Follow these steps carefully:
- Clean the Door Sill: Thoroughly clean the vehicle's door sill surface where the guards will be applied. Ensure it is free from dirt, dust, grease, and moisture. Use a clean cloth and a suitable automotive cleaner, then dry completely.
- Test Fit: Before removing any adhesive backing, carefully place each door sill guard in its intended position to confirm fitment and alignment. Note the orientation (front/rear, left/right).
- Prepare Adhesive: Peel off a small portion of the protective backing from the adhesive strips on the back of the guard. Do not remove the entire backing yet.
- Align and Apply: Carefully align the guard with the door sill. Once aligned, firmly press the guard into place, gradually peeling off the remaining adhesive backing as you go. Apply even pressure across the entire surface to ensure strong adhesion.
- Secure: After the guard is in place, apply firm pressure for at least 30 seconds to ensure the adhesive bonds securely to the surface. Avoid washing the vehicle or exposing the guards to excessive moisture for 24-48 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure.

3. Operation
Once installed, the door sill guards provide continuous protection for your vehicle's entry points. They are designed to withstand regular foot traffic and prevent damage to the underlying paint and metal.
- Enhanced Protection: The guards act as a barrier against scratches, scuffs, and chips caused by shoes, cargo, or other objects entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Improved Grip: The textured surface of the guards can offer additional grip, especially in wet conditions, reducing the risk of slipping when entering or exiting the vehicle.
- Seamless Integration: The custom design ensures that the guards fit perfectly and do not interfere with the opening or closing of the vehicle doors.
4. Maintenance
Maintaining your door sill guards is simple and helps preserve their appearance and protective qualities:
- Regular Cleaning: Clean the guards periodically with mild soap and water. Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe away dirt and debris.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the material and finish of the guards.
- Drying: After cleaning, dry the guards thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots.

- Adhesion Issues: If the guards are not sticking properly, ensure the surface was thoroughly cleaned and dry before application. Ambient temperature can affect adhesive performance; ideally, install in temperatures between 68°F and 95°F (20°C and 35°C). Apply firm, even pressure during installation.
- Improper Fit: Double-check that you have the correct guard for each door sill (front/rear, left/right) and that it is aligned correctly before pressing firmly.
- Damage/Wear: For minor scuffs, cleaning as per maintenance instructions may suffice. For significant damage, replacement of the individual guard may be necessary.
