4. Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the appliance.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the glass carafe, swivel filter holder, and permanent filter with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Positioning: Place the coffee machine on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct heat.
- Insert Filter: Open the swivel filter holder and insert the permanent filter. Alternatively, you can use a standard paper filter (size 1x2) if preferred.
- Add Water: Fill the glass carafe with fresh, cold water up to the desired number of cups (max. 4 cups). Pour the water into the water tank of the coffee machine. The transparent water level indicator on the side will help you measure accurately.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of coffee grounds per cup.
- Close Filter Holder: Close the swivel filter holder securely.
- Place Carafe: Place the empty glass carafe with its lid on the warming plate. Ensure it is correctly positioned to activate the drip-stop mechanism.
- First Brew Cycle (without coffee): For the first use, it is recommended to run a brewing cycle with only water to clean the internal components. Discard this water.

5. Operating Instructions
- Prepare for Brewing: Ensure the coffee machine is set up as described in the "Setup and First Use" section, with water in the tank, coffee in the filter, and the carafe on the warming plate.
- Start Brewing: Plug the power cord into a suitable wall outlet. Press the On/Off button located at the front of the machine. The indicator light will illuminate, and the brewing process will begin.
- Brewing Process: Hot water will be pumped from the tank, through the coffee grounds, and into the glass carafe. The drip-stop feature prevents dripping when the carafe is removed during brewing, though it's recommended to wait until brewing is complete.
- Keep-Warm Function: Once brewing is complete, the warming plate will automatically keep the coffee warm. The machine features an automatic shut-off function for safety and energy saving.
- Serving: Carefully remove the glass carafe from the warming plate and pour the coffee.
- Switching Off: To manually switch off the machine, press the On/Off button again. The indicator light will turn off.
Note: The machine is designed for quick and quiet brewing thanks to its effective 750W heating element.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine.
Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the glass carafe, swivel filter holder, and permanent filter. Wash these parts in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry. These parts are generally dishwasher-safe, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
- Clean the warming plate with a damp cloth.
Descaling:
Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, descaling should be performed regularly (e.g., every 2-4 months) to prevent mineral buildup, which can affect performance and taste.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., white vinegar diluted with water, or a commercial descaling agent).
- Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
- Place the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
- Start a brewing cycle without coffee. Allow the solution to run through the machine.
- After the cycle, discard the solution.
- Run at least two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse the machine thoroughly and remove any residual descaling solution.
