Setup and Initial Use
Charging the Headset:
Before first use, fully charge your Arctis 9X headset. Connect the micro USB cable (included in the box) to the charging port on the headset and to a USB power source. A full charge typically takes approximately 4 hours.
Connecting to Xbox:
- Power on your Xbox console.
- Press and hold the power button on your Arctis 9X headset for 3 seconds until the headset powers on.
- Press and hold the pairing button on your Xbox console until the Xbox logo flashes.
- Press and hold the power button on your headset again for 6 seconds until the headset LED flashes rapidly.
- The headset will connect automatically to your Xbox. The LED on the headset will turn solid white when connected.
Connecting via Bluetooth:
- With the headset powered on, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the right earcup for 6 seconds. The headset LED will flash blue.
- On your mobile device or PC, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Arctis 9X".
- The headset LED will turn solid blue when connected via Bluetooth. You can now simultaneously listen to audio from your Bluetooth device and Xbox.
Operating the Headset
Controls:
- Power Button: Located on the right earcup. Press and hold to power on/off.
- Volume Wheel: Adjusts overall headset volume.
- ChatMix Dial: Balances game audio and chat audio. Turn towards game icon for more game audio, towards chat icon for more chat audio.
- Microphone Mute Button: Toggles microphone mute. The microphone tip glows red when muted.
- Bluetooth Button: Used for Bluetooth pairing and media control (play/pause, skip track, answer/end calls).
Microphone Usage:
The ClearCast microphone is bidirectional, designed for superior noise cancellation. It is retractable and can be stowed away into the earcup when not in use. Extend the microphone fully for optimal voice pickup during communication.
Simultaneous Audio:
The Arctis 9X allows you to hear audio from both your Xbox and a Bluetooth-connected device simultaneously. This is ideal for listening to music, podcasts, or taking calls without interrupting your gaming experience.
Maintenance
