5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
Locate the power switch, usually on the table's underside or near the motor. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power the machine. The motor operates silently when idle.
5.2 Threading the Machine
Follow the threading path indicated on the machine head. Ensure the thread passes through all guides and tension discs correctly. Incorrect threading can lead to skipped stitches or thread breakage.

5.3 Adjusting Thread Tension
The thread tension can be adjusted using the tension dial on the machine head. Adjust as necessary to achieve balanced stitches on both the top and bottom of your fabric.
5.4 Stitch Length Adjustment
The stitch length can be adjusted up to a maximum of 5 mm. Use the stitch length dial or lever on the machine head to select your desired stitch length. For easier adjustment, press the lever while turning the dial.
5.5 Presser Foot Lift and Knee Lifter
The presser foot can be lifted manually or using the knee lifter mechanism. The maximum foot lift is 5.5 mm by hand and 13 mm using the knee lifter. The knee lifter allows for hands-free lifting of the presser foot, which is convenient for handling fabric.

5.6 Reverse Stitching
To engage reverse stitching, press the reverse lever located on the machine head. This is used for securing stitches at the beginning and end of a seam.
5.7 Speed Control
The electronic DC Servo Motor allows for variable speed control. Adjust the speed regulator dial on the motor to set the maximum sewing speed. This is particularly useful for beginners who may prefer a slower speed, or for intricate work requiring precise control.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean lint and dust from the bobbin area, feed dogs, and tension discs using a brush or vacuum. Ensure the machine is unplugged before cleaning.
6.2 Lubrication
Check the oil level in the oil pan regularly and refill as needed. Refer to the machine head's specific lubrication points for additional oiling requirements, typically indicated by red dots or specific instructions in the detailed manual.
6.3 Needle Replacement
Replace needles frequently, especially when sewing different fabric types or if the needle becomes dull or bent. Use needles of type DBX1 (16x231) in sizes 9-18, up to size 19.
7. Troubleshooting
- Skipped Stitches: Check needle installation, ensure it's inserted correctly and not bent. Verify proper threading and tension.
- Thread Breakage: Inspect for burrs on the needle plate or tension discs. Re-thread the machine, ensuring the thread is not snagged. Adjust tension if too tight.
- Uneven Stitches: Adjust thread tension for both upper and bobbin threads. Ensure the correct needle size for the fabric.
- Machine Not Starting: Check power connection, ensure the power switch is on, and the foot pedal is properly connected.
