2. Package Contents

3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Unitek CFast Card Reader:

  1. Connect the Cable: Use the provided USB-C to USB-C/USB-A cable. Connect the USB-C end to the port on the CFast card reader.
  2. Connect to Host Device: Connect the other end of the cable (either USB-A or USB-C, depending on your device's available port) to your computer, laptop, or compatible mobile device. The card reader is bus-powered and does not require an external power adapter.
  3. Insert CFast Card: Carefully insert your CFast 2.0 memory card into the card slot on the reader. Ensure the card is inserted correctly, aligning with the slot's shape. Do not force the card.
  4. Device Recognition: Your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS) should automatically detect the card reader and the inserted CFast card. No additional drivers are typically required. The card will appear as a removable drive in your file explorer.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the CFast card is inserted and the reader is connected to your device, you can begin data transfer:

  1. Accessing Files: Open your computer's file explorer (e.g., 'This PC' on Windows, 'Finder' on macOS). The CFast card will appear as a removable storage device. Double-click to open and view its contents.
  2. Data Transfer: Drag and drop files or folders between your computer and the CFast card. The reader supports USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data transfer rates up to 5Gbps, enabling quick transfer of large files. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, though speeds will be limited by the slower standard.
  3. Safe Removal: Always safely eject the CFast card reader from your operating system before physically disconnecting it. This prevents data corruption.
