Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the battery pack. Insert the battery into the charger (DC10WD). The charger's indicator lights will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 30 minutes for a 1.5Ah battery.

2. Installing and Removing the Battery

  • To Install: Align the battery pack with the grooves in the tool's handle and slide it in until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely latched.
  • To Remove: Press the battery release button (located on the side of the battery pack) and slide the battery out of the tool's handle.

3. Installing and Removing Drill Bits/Accessories

The drill features a keyless chuck for easy accessory changes.

  • To Install: Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to open the jaws. Insert the drill bit or accessory fully into the chuck. Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws securely around the bit.
  • To Remove: Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to loosen the jaws and pull the bit out.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off and Variable Speed Trigger

The tool is activated by pressing the variable speed trigger. The speed increases as you press the trigger further. Releasing the trigger turns the tool off.

2. Forward/Reverse Switch

The forward/reverse switch is located above the trigger. Push it to the left for forward rotation (drilling/driving screws in) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws). Position the switch in the center to lock the trigger and prevent accidental startup.

3. 2-Speed Selector Switch

The tool has a 2-speed mechanical gear selection for different applications:

  • "1" (Low Speed): For heavy-duty applications requiring high torque, such as driving large screws or drilling large holes. (0-450 RPM)
  • "2" (High Speed): For light-duty applications requiring high speed, such as drilling small holes. (0-1,700 RPM)

Ensure the tool is stopped before changing the speed setting to prevent gear damage.

4. Clutch Settings and Drill Mode

The clutch ring allows you to select the desired torque setting (1-20) for driving screws, preventing overtightening or stripping. For drilling, rotate the clutch ring to the drill symbol (indicated by a drill bit icon) for maximum torque without clutch action.

5. LED Job Light

The built-in LED job light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pulled. It features a pre-glow and after-glow function for improved visibility.
