Controls and Connections

Top Panel Controls:

  • OPEN Button: Press to open the CD compartment lid.
  • PLAY/PAUSE (►/▮▮): Press to start or pause playback.
  • STOP/OFF (■): Press to stop playback. Press and hold to turn off the player.
  • SKIP (◀◀ / ►►): Press to skip to the previous or next track. Press and hold to fast-forward or rewind within a track.
  • +10: For MP3 CDs, press to skip forward by 10 tracks.
  • MODE: Press to cycle through playback modes (Repeat 1, Repeat All, Random, Intro).
  • PROG (Program): Press to program a custom playback sequence.

Side Panel Connections:

  • VOLUME Dial: Rotate to adjust the audio output level.
  • DC IN (Micro-USB): Connect a Micro-USB cable for external power.
  • HEADPHONE Jack: Connect stereo headphones (3.5mm).

Front Panel:

  • LCD Display: Shows track number, playback mode, battery status, and other relevant information.

Powering the Device

Battery Power:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the player.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 2 new 'AA' size alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Batteries are not included. Remove batteries if the player will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

DC Power (External Power Adapter):

  1. Locate the Micro-USB DC IN port on the side of the player.
  2. Connect a standard Micro-USB cable (not included) to the DC IN port.
  3. Connect the other end of the Micro-USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (e.g., a cell phone charger, not included) or a 12V car power adapter (not included).
  4. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet or car power source.

The player will automatically switch to external power when connected, conserving battery life.

Setup

  1. Power Connection: Install batteries or connect the Micro-USB power cable as described in the "Powering the Device" section.
  2. Insert Disc:

    • Press the OPEN button to open the CD compartment lid.
    • Carefully place a CD, CD-R/RW, or MP3 CD onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
    • Gently press the disc down until it clicks into place.
    • Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it latches.
  3. Connect Headphones: Plug the stereo earbuds (or your preferred 3.5mm headphones) into the HEADPHONE jack on the side of the player.

Operating Instructions

Basic Playback:

  1. After inserting a disc and connecting headphones, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The disc will begin playing from the first track.
  2. To pause playback, press PLAY/PAUSE again. Press it once more to resume.
  3. To stop playback, press the STOP/OFF button.
  4. To turn off the player, press and hold the STOP/OFF button until the display turns off.

Track Navigation:

  • Next Track: Press the SKIP (►►) button once.
  • Previous Track: Press the SKIP (◀◀) button once. If pressed during playback, it will restart the current track. Press twice to go to the previous track.
  • Fast Forward/Rewind: Press and hold the SKIP (►►) or SKIP (◀◀) button during playback.
  • Skip 10 Tracks (MP3 CDs only): Press the +10 button to jump forward by 10 tracks.

Playback Modes:

Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through the following options:

  • Repeat 1: Repeats the current track.
  • Repeat All: Repeats all tracks on the disc.
  • Random: Plays tracks in a random order.
  • Intro: Plays the first few seconds of each track.

Program Playback:

  1. While the player is stopped, press the PROG button. The display will show "P01".
  2. Use the SKIP (◀◀ / ►►) buttons to select the desired track for the first program slot.
  3. Press PROG again to confirm the selection and move to the next program slot ("P02").
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more tracks to your program (up to 20 tracks).
  5. After programming all desired tracks, press PLAY/PAUSE to start programmed playback.

Anti-Skip Protection:

The player features an electronic anti-skip protection system that buffers audio data. This helps prevent interruptions in playback during minor shocks or vibrations. The buffer provides 120 seconds of protection for standard CDs and 200 seconds for MP3 CDs.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit:

  • Wipe the exterior of the player with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the player is turned off and disconnected from power before cleaning.

Cleaning the CD Lens:

  • Use a specialized CD lens cleaning kit. Follow the instructions provided with the cleaning kit.
  • Avoid touching the lens directly with your fingers or any abrasive materials.

Battery Care:

  • Always use fresh batteries of the recommended type.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Remove batteries if the unit is not used for an extended period to prevent corrosion.

Troubleshooting
