5. Setup
- Unpack the Timer: Carefully remove the timer unit and remote control from the packaging.
- Remote Control Battery: The remote control comes with a 12V/23A battery pre-installed. If the remote does not respond, check or replace the battery.
- Placement: Choose a suitable outdoor location for the timer unit. It features a hanging hole for easy mounting on a wall or post. Ensure the light sensor on the front of the unit is not obstructed, as this is crucial for dusk-to-dawn operation.
- Plug In the Timer: Plug the timer unit into a grounded outdoor electrical outlet.
- Connect Devices: Plug your outdoor lights, decorations, or other electrical appliances into the three grounded outlets on the timer unit.
6. Operating Instructions
The K KASONIC Outdoor Light Timer can be operated using the remote control or the manual button on the unit.
Remote Control Functions:
- ON: Turns all connected devices ON immediately.
- OFF: Turns all connected devices OFF immediately.
- 2H / 4H / 6H / 8H: Activates the countdown timer. Devices will turn ON at dusk and automatically turn OFF after the selected duration (2, 4, 6, or 8 hours).
- Dusk Dawn: Activates the dusk-to-dawn mode. Devices will turn ON automatically at dusk and turn OFF at dawn.
Manual Button Functions (on Timer Unit):
The 'Program' button on the timer unit cycles through the available modes. The indicator lights above the button will show the currently active mode.
- Press once to cycle to the next mode (e.g., ON > OFF > 2H > 4H > 6H > 8H > Dusk Dawn).
- The remote control can manually override any active timer setting.
Remote Range: The remote control has a strong RF signal that can operate the timer from up to 100 feet away in an open area, even through walls and doors.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the timer from the power source before cleaning. Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the timer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
